ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION ORGANISATION (ECO) 
It is a non profit making, nongovernmental organisation.  It is devoted to promote and accelerate the 
ecological environment and economic status of the rural masses, natural resources, urban poor’s and 
wildlife crises though its action oriented programmes and academic studies. 
The organisation over the year has disseminated its activities in various parts of Rajasthan through its 
well organised motivation programmes of environment awareness, rural employment, rural sanitation 
and vocational training. Besides, it also conducted academic and field of studies in sustainable 
development over exploited areas to accelerate their process of economic and ecological development. 
The organisation conducted awareness programmes, environmental awareness camps etc. 
ECO since its inception has laid emphasis on socio‐economic surveys as a necessary pre‐requisite to 
undertake action oriented programmes and further to evaluate them amongst the beneficiaries. 
Evaluation of irrigation system in arid and semi arid ecosystem, social topographical determinants in the 
development of agriculture systems, human settlements, wild life protection programme, afforestation 
programmes and effective irrigation system are some of the prime studies successfully completed by the 
researchers of the organisation. 
ECO works with the following aims: 
 Identify, understand and analyse environment issues in problematic areas to promote eco friendly 
economic 
    development and to ameliorate environmental problems of the specific areas for sustainable 
development. 
 Awareness to environment, wildlife, health, soil, water, forest and other natural resources. 
 Encourage the rural masses to develop ways and means for the attainment of long term sustainability 
in respect to water, land, soil, forest and animal resource.

SEVA MANDIR (SM) 
It is working with a mission to make real the idea of society consisting of free and equal citizens who are 
able to come together and solve the problem that affect them in their particular contexts. The 
commitment is to work for a paradigm of development and governance that is democratic and 
polyarchic. Seva Mandir seeks to institutionalise the idea that development and governance is not only 
to be left to the state and its formal bodies like the legislature and the bureaucracy, but that citizen and 
their association should engage separately and jointly with state. The mission briefly, is to construct the 
conditions in which citizens of plural background and perspective can come together and deliberate on 
how they work to benefit and empower the least advantage in society.

The Sansthan is working with a mission to “Prepare local communities to take up the responsibilities of 
self development by incepting self confidence and impart power in them through mass awakening” and 
working with a vision “to create a self reliant tribal society, where benefiting families are made capable 
to an extent through awareness building, concentration and education to make them able to manage 
their own lives and environment within sustain development process". The sansthan is working to 
create livelihood opportunities in agriculture by improving agriculture practices, introducing innovative
