The contractor, XYZ CORPORATION, in his letter dated June 8, 2019 requested for

approval of Contract Time Extension (C.T.E.) No. 3 equivalent to forty-three (43) calendar
days covering the period from January 2019 to May 2019 (intermittent) due to on and off
work schedule because of unfavorable weather condition.

C.T.E. Nos. 1 and 2 equivalent to sixty (60) c.d. and 30 c.d., respectively, were issued to the
contractor due to bad weather, covering the periods of June 2018 to October 2018
(intermittent) and November 2018 and December 2018 (intermittent). Variation Order No. 1
in the amount of ₱ 6,650,176.32 was also issued with a Contract Time Extension equivalent
to sixty (60) c.d.

Based on the Project Engineer’s Report, it was stated that work was suspended for a period
of forty-three (43) intermittent days for the months of January, February, March, April, and
May 2019 due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The contract started on June 9, 2018 and the original contract expiry date is January 30,
2019. The contract amount is ₱ 151,249,632.87.

For work suspension due to unworkable rainy days which usually occur intermittently,
issuance of Work Resumption Orders is not necessary and the Contractor is allowed to
proceed on the project implementation immediately after the weather has become favorable
for the construction.
