ABSTRACT

This work analysis the Abolition of Slave trade and introduction of

legitimate trade .Which is very interesting and has created awareness in Africa.

However, my work tried to State the effect, little advantage, its Origin,

disadvantages, the pain it inflicted in West Africa. In the process of my work, I

intend the origin of Slave trade, where it Started, Succeeded and how it grew

gradually into legitimate trade. Its acceptance by African chiefs in exchange for

items, and its development over the years. All the ideas in this work are written

as electric framework from academic literatures, expert Opinions and archival

materials.
