SAP EWM – CLASS 7 – Activity, Activity Area & Bin Sorting

Activity Areas:
Storage bins are further categorized in this activity area. It includes activities like picking,
put away or a physical inventory. As per the activity, you can assign the same storage bin to
multiple activity areas.

Activity Area Includes

 Putaway
 Picking
 Inventory

Integration of Activity Area

 EWM generates warehouse orders for each activity area.
 When SAP EWM generates warehouse tasks, it considers the activity area and copies
attributes from this activity area, such as the deconsolidation group.

Steps:

1. Defining Activity Area

2. Assign Bins of storage type 0150 to New activity area AA15
3. Defining Sorting parameters for Activity area AA15
4. Bin Sorting - /N/SCWM/SBST

4. Bin Sorting - /N/SCWM/SBST

Perform the bin sorting that creates the internal sequences the system uses in warehouse
order creation and sequencing tasks within the warehouse order

Enter the data as below and execute

creates the sort sequence.
