Materials:
• DMC Petra cotton size 3 in light
pink, dark pink and ecru
• Crochet hook 1.5mm
• Soft toy filling
• Tapestry needle
• Chunky or DK yarn for hair
(in brown)
• Scissors
• Soft pastel

Abbreviations:

• Ch=chain
• St(s)=stitch(es)
• Sc=single crochet
• Dc=double crochet
• Sl st=slip stitch
• Dec=invisible decrease (insert hook in the front loops of the next 2 st(s), yarn
over, pull through first 2 loops, yarn over, pull through both loops)

Notes:
• Each round starts with a chain (ch) and ends with a slip stitch (sl st).

Start in light pink

Using a needle, weave the tail through
the front loops of the last 6 st(s),
pull these together and close the
opening.

Headband with flower:

(dark pink) ch42, sl st back

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing

(light pink) make a magic ring, *ch4, sl st in the magic ring* repeat another 4 times

Hair:

Cut yarn at the desired length and lay these yarn strands on a flat surface. Using a
needle and a matching colour thread sew through each individual ‘’hair’’ so that they
are secured onto the thread. Then, position the hair in the centre of the head and
sew onto the scalp.

Making up:

• Sew the first arm to the body and using the rest
of the tail to sew the leg to the body
• Attach the second arm and the leg
• Embroider eyes and the nose
• Separate yarn strand for curly hair
• Sew headband onto the head
