Description:

This
 course
 will
 explore
 the
 basic
 principles
 and
 process
 of
 entrepreneurship.
 How

entrepreneurs
seek
and
exploit
opportunities?
What
are
the
characteristics
of
successful

entrepreneurs?
 Through
 lectures
 and
 discussions,
 students
 will
 learn
 what
 it
 takes
 to

start
a
business
and
hopefully
make
it
a
big
success.

After
completing
this
course,
the
student
is
expected
to:

1. Explain
what
makes
an
entrepreneur.

2. Know
the
rules
of
successful
entrepreneurship.

3. Draft
a
good
quality
business
plan.

4. Learn
to
recognize
and
take
advantage
of
opportunities.


5. Develop
 mathematical
 and
 critical
 thinking,
 superior
 work
 ethics
 and

professionalism.


D. Course
Organization:

The
course
is
divided
into
three
segments.
First
segment
focuses
on
the
skills
needed
to

be
 an
 intelligent
 entrepreneur.
 Second
 segment
 discusses
 concepts
 and
 theories
 and

process
 of
 enterprise
 development
 and
 management;
 the
 third
 segment
 puts
 into

practice
these
concepts
and
theories
by
means
of
a
business
plan.



Class
 sessions
 will
 consist
 of
 cases,
 lectures
 and
 discussions.
 Guest
 speakers
 (as
 per

availability)
 will
 be
 invited
 to
 share
 their
 experiences
 as
 to
 bridge
 theory
 and

application.
