Classes VI-VIII

At JKPS we are committed to provide Holistic

education through our curricular and co
curricular activities that aim for at creating an
eclectic blend of ancient and modern; Indian
and international; traditional virtues. Each
session is divided into two Terms. Each term
has a cycle of Periodic Test and one Term End
Exam (Half yearly /Final Exam) for Scholastic
areas. Half yearly exam includes Term-I
syllabus. Final Exam includes syllabus as
follows Class VI: 10% of Term-I and complete
syllabus of Term 2 Class VII: 20% of Term-I
and complete syllabus of Term 2 Class VIII:
30% of Term-I and complete syllabus of Term
2 Emphasis is also laid on discipline, regularity
in attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values,
attitude towards peers, teachers, other school
sta!, parents and society.

Classes IX-X

Class IX

Each session has 3 Periodic Assessment (Pre

Mid Term, Mid Term and Post Mid Term) and
Final Exam for scholastic areas. 10% weightage
will be given to Periodic Assessment, 5% to
Notebook submission, 5% to subject
enrichment activities and 80% to the term end
exam Average of best two is taken for the
calculation of periodic Assessment and
Subject Enrichment activities. Pre Mid Term
includes 30% syllabus, Mid Term 50% syllabus,
Post Mid Term 75% syllabus and Final Exam
100% syllabus. Maximum marks for each
weekly test will be 25; Pre Mid Term 40; Mid
Term, Post Mid Term and Final Exams for 80
marks.

Class X

Evaluation is a continuous and spread out

evenly over the entire academic session. There
will be 2 cycles of Unit Test. Half yearly
examination will be held in the month of
September, Pre -board I will be held in the
month of December and Pre – Board II will be
held in January

Attendence

All students are required to complete 75% of

attendance to make him / her eligible to take
the examination.

Class XI

Evaluation is a continuous and spread out

evenly over the entire academic session. There
are 2 cycles of Periodic Assessment and 2
Terminal Exams. First Term is from July to
September and Second Term from October to
March. 20% weightage is awarded to Periodic
Assessment, 20% to I term Exam and 60% to II
Term Exam in the calculation of subject
aggregate. For promotion to the next higher
class, a student in class XI must obtain pass
percentage in theory and in practical
separately in addition to the pass percentage
in aggregate in order to qualify in each
subject.

Class XII

Evaluation is a continuous and spread out

evenly over the entire academic session. There
will be 2 cycles of Unit Test. Half yearly
examination will be held in the month of
September, Pre -board I will be held in the
month of December and Pre – board II will be
held in January.
