Global shortage of food and water?
Why there is a big problem with food and water? A big problem around the problem is the absence of
food and water, this continues growing in the tables and graphics that the FAO have being making since
some years. The main problem decays in the Over population, The bad maintaince of this resource, and the
constant contamination toward this resource. What could people make for solving this problem and prevent
that more people suffer because of this.
One of the biggest problems in the world is water scarcity. Almost all countries suffer from it and many
of them cannot find the most effective solution to avoid this difficulty. The meaning of the world water crisis is
very easy to understand, but solving it is very difficult. The amount of world water is limited, as the population
is growing fast; the necessity of water use is growing even faster. This essay will examine the water crisis
specifically in China, because it is the country with the most serious water shortage problems in the world.
Also, this essay will suggest possible solutions on solving these problems and evaluate them. Although to stop
the water shortage problems is difficult and costly, and takes a lot of money. So according to Zhao, Liu, and
Deng (2005), agriculture exploits almost 70 percent of freshwater available in China, and there is an
expectation that this quantity will grow because of the increase of world food production. Chinese people need
a comprehensive scientific approach with long-term, coordinated efforts to solve this serious problem.
Water is key to food security. Crops and livestock need water to grow. Agriculture requires large
quantities of water for irrigation and of good quality for various production processes. While feeding the
world and producing a diverse range of non-food crops such as cotton, rubber and industrial oils in an
increasingly productive way, agriculture also confirmed its position as the biggest user of water on the globe.
There is enough water available for our global future needs, but this world picture hides large areas of
absolute water scarcity which affects billions of people, many of whom are poor and disadvantaged. Major
changes in policy and management, across the entire agricultural production chain, are needed to ensure best
use of available water resources in meeting growing demands for food and other agricultural products.
Water Shortage Water shortage problem is when humans or living creatures suffer from a scarcity of
water another definition for water shortage is either the lack of enough water or lack of access to safe water and
it happens because of the dreadful use of water and polluting rivers, oceans and lakes. Water is the reason for
our existence; Water everywhere on the planet is a basic part of the global hydrologic cycle, it 's a finite
resource.

Food and water shortages are two of the greatest challenges facing humans in the coming century.
While our theoretical understanding of how humans become vulnerable to and cope with hunger is relatively
well developed, anthropological research on parallel problems in the water domain is limited.
