of its products to a foreign market. Before making that decision, the management has tasked
your team to prepare a proposal as to how it will distribute the product to the foreign market.

2. LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CA2

On completion of CA2, students should be able to:
a. Perform an analysis of the product to be distributed overseas.
Student to choose a familiar (but real) product;
for e.g. : clothes, food and beverages, furniture, cosmetics, electronics, appliances etc.

b. Perform an analysis of the country (foreign market) to which the product will be
distributed. Student to choose a foreign city
for e.g. : a city in China, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, etc

c. Propose a possible distribution strategy for the product in the overseas market.

In addition, you will also:

 develop research skills and ability to identify useful resources in the target country
 acquire critical thinking and analytical skills in evaluating the foreign market
 exercise judgement and decision-making through developing strategies for foreign
market entry

3. PROCESS
Students will be organized into groups of 2 students, with each group to a product to distribute,
and a target foreign market to distribute to.

Important Note:
The place of manufacture and/or assembly of the chosen product, and the target foreign
market to which the product is to be distributed must be DIFFERENT. Furthermore, the
target foreign market CANNOT be Singapore. Please obtain your tutor’s approval on the
