To those who have used Glossika

I’ve read that the pace of the speaking is felt to be too fast for
beginners, and possibly even low intermediates. I’m currently using
Pimsleur. Would anybody who has used both consider Pimsleur
followed by Glossika to be a reasonable progression?

 It's pretty fast, but if it is a problem you can just slow it down
with most audio players to a level you are comfortable with. I
used to slow it down to 80% and then increase back to 100%
once I felt more comfortable. Funny thing is, after 1 year of
study, it actually does not feel fast to me anymore.

Also, in case you don't know, Glossika has been revamped, it is

not just audio files anymore, there is a web app where you can
control the speed of playback. Not a huge fan at $30/month
personally.

I think Glossika is okay, but I don't think it helps anywhere near

as much for production of language like Pimsleur. It's good for
listening, but then again I find myself having far more success
using sentences mined from variety shows and Kdramas. Far
more natural and I can easily review in Anki using sub2srs. The
main benefit of Glossika is the fact that you can study while
doing something else (you don't have to be reading or looking
at a screen). So I mainly use it when I go for a walk or jog or
even in the shower.

In answer to your original question, yes it would be a good

At times, Korean feels like English.

I've been studying Korean for about 14 months now. Starting about maybe 6
months ago there are times where I'll be listening to the teachers talking in
Korean or listening to a news segment and the stuff that I'm listening to feels
like I'm listening to it in English (my 모국어). The kicker here is, I don't
understand what I'm listening to it, at least not 100%.

Does anyone else have this experience? It would make more sense to feel this
way if I understood 90-100% of what I'm listening to, but sometimes I feel this
way even if I understand less than 50%.

QuestionHow does one say “now that I think about it” or “come
to think of it” in Korean?
If the direct translation is unnatural in Korean, what’s the closest translation?

What is ~겠더래?
I was reading an article and I found this 그런데 어느 날 눈을 떠보니까 자기 앞에
서 엄마가 죽겠더래요. 그제야 보이더래요. Thinking about it I tried turning the 더
래 to a 더라고 해 (like you would do with 이래 to 이라고 해) but I still can't
understand it. (He/she said) But one day, because I opened my eyes (realized
something?) I experienced/saw/hear that my mother would die in front of me.

That doesn't sound right. PD: speaker is a woman speaking about what her
daughter said.
