TELLING TIME
VOCABULARIO
a) dices la hora ( It's five o It's seven ) y si es exacta, sin minutos "para", o minutos
"pasados", se le agrega la expresión o'clock Ejemplo: It's five o'clock.
c) Otra posibilidad es que en vez de usar estas expresiones para señalar la diferencia si
es de la mañana o de la tarde, se usan abreviaturas, así:
*si es antes de las 12 del día, le agregas A.M.
*si es después de las 12 del día, le agregas P.M.
Observación: En inglés no se dice la hora como se usa comúnmente en Chile, por ejemplo
la catorce horas para indicar las dos de la tarde. En inglés, sólo se usa la secuencia de 1 a
12 hrs..

Para preguntar sobre acciones en desarrollo, se formulan las preguntas de este modo:
EJEMPLO:
Mary / play tennis Mary is playing now.

Escribe una hora. Luego inventa una acción relacionada con la hora.
Sigue con otras horas representativas de getting up, having lunch, having dinner, going to
work, etc. y escribe tus oraciones
Conversar acerca de partes de la casa (bedroom, bathroom, dining room, laundry etc.)
Conversar acerca de artefactos y muebles del hogar (refrigerator, rug, cabinet etc.)

Pregúntame qué hace Mary a las 7:30 : What does Mary do at half past seven?
Pregúntame qué hace Peter a esa hora: What does Peter do at that time?
Pregúntame qué hacen Mary y Peter antes de almuerzo :What do Mary and Peter do before lunch?
Pregúntame qué hacemos Mary y yo después de la cena : What do you and Mary do after dinner?
I eat = yo como
You eat = tú comes
He eats = él come
She eats = ella come
It eats = él/ella (animal) come
We eat = nosotros comemos
You eat = ustedes comen
They eat= ellos comen
¡Observa que el verbo conjugado para la 3ª persona singular, es decir él, ella, o animal
o cosa llevan S! ¡Es decir los singulares llevan S en el verbo!
