Job Title: Safety Officer

Reports To: Site Lead

Location: New Project, Bangalore

Job Responsibilities

 Should be able to conduct safety inductions for workers

 Should be able to carry out hazard risk assessments for the site
 Must be vigilant in observation to watch the construction workers are compliant to the safety
gears in the construction site.
 Should inspect on a daily basis whether the high-rise scaffoldings are secured and safe to use
 Should respond to all kinds of safety concern.
 Should perform emergency response drills on site.
 Should have appropriate knowledge of fire hazards in construction sites and how to deal with
such hazards (both preventive and responder), should be well versed with the fire safety
compliances in a construction site and well versed & hands on in using the fire response
equipment’s.
 Should ensure proper housekeeping standards, hygiene and clean environment at site.
 Should be able to audit and inspect the construction site and communicate the observations
to the project team and get the closures done
 Should be able to document minor and major accidents at site.
 Should be proactive in implementing the safety practices and make people comply to them
 Should be able to respond to the orders issued by regulatory authorities, if any.
 Should be able to train the constructional workers on various aspects of occupational safety
and fire safety.

Skill Requirements

 Must have knowledge in the safety practices of constructions site.

 Should have worked in construction safety preferably real estate and has managed
the health & safety role in an individual capacity for the sites.
 Should preferably be a certified First-Aider
 Should have had the experience of working in a PMC environment and supporting the client
to oversee the project safety of the site working closely with the project management team
and representing the client
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Engineering and a minimum diploma in industrial safety from a
recognized institute.

Experience – 5-6 years in construction safety preferably real estate and has managed the health &
safety role in an individual capacity for the sites

Remuneration – As per industry standard.
