High school life is a roller coaster ride.

It is the period of exploring

the unknown, a time of shaping one’s true identity and the stage of
building bonds and friendships. This evening another milestone is about to
unfold in your lives as you take part in one of the most waited moment in
high school, the Junior and Senior Promenade.

I. PROCESSIONAL
Teachers and all students seemed so beautiful and handsome this night…
the girls look elegant with their attire…and the gentlemen…. they are so
chivalric…
Good evening everyone, welcome to the magical land of Kings and
Queens, Princes and Princesses, Fairies, Knights, and the like. Where your
dreams do come true and your thoughts come to life. Welcome to
Salapungan National High School Junior and Senior Promenade 2019!
It is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you our Juniors and Seniors
students. Without further a due, let us now witness the entrance of the
Seniors. Please give them a warm welcome.
Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor
and attended to with DILIGENCE. People with discipline have a goal, a
vision of what is to be accomplished by their efforts. Keeping that vision
in mind helps them stay focused and on task, even when the task at hand is
laborious and tedious. Here is the strange truth: People without a vision or
objective in life that they can diligently throw themselves into are
inevitably unhappy.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 12 Diligence with their adviser,
Mrs. Donna L. Manalastas.
… the King and Queen of Seniors, Ryan Jay A. Villaseñor and Rizah
Mae M. Gumabon.

EXCELLENCE is not a set level of quality or perfectionism. It’s an

ever-changing dynamic in both our personal journey and the collective
journey of our teams. It’s about growth and maturity. Excellence should
be a moving target of sorts. The quality of your craft and serving today
should not be the same as the quality of your serving yesterday. It should
be increasing and moving forward, not stagnating!
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 12 Excellence with their adviser,
Mrs. Sheryl M. Balagtas.
… the Knight and Dame of Seniors, Albie P. Laxamana and Angel
M. Magat.

RESILIENCE is what gives people the psychological strength to

cope with stress and hardship. It is the mental reservoir of strength that
people are able to call on in times of need to carry them through without
falling apart. Resilient individuals are better able to handle such adversity
and rebuild their lives after a catastrophe.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 12 Resilience with their adviser,
Mr. Ivan C. Lacanilao.
… the Emperor and Empress of Seniors, Johnny S. Mercado and
Abelyn D. Meneses.
Music is HARMONY, harmony is perfection, perfection is our
dream and our dream is heaven. Harmony is a beautiful balance between
mind, body and soul measured in tender peaceful moments. If we aim to
act in harmony with the laws of Good, we rise above all other laws and
become a law unto ourselves; co-workers with God and helpers in nature.
Ours is the privilege, ours the loss if we fail to live up to our highest
possibilities.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 11 Harmony with their adviser,
Mrs. Rosemarie DL. Dumapit
… the Prince and Princess of Seniors, Edrian F. Sombillo and Denise
Gwyneth J. De Guzman.

INTEGRITY is choosing your thoughts and actions based on values

rather than personal gain. With Integrity, you have nothing to fear, since
you have nothing to hide. With integrity, you will do the right thing, so
you will have no guilt. The measure of man’s real character is what he
would do if he knew he never would be found out. Live in such a way that
if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 11 Integrity with their adviser, Ms.
Paula May P. David
… the Baron and Baroness of Seniors, Ronnel L. Maun and Irish Gail
M. Velasco.
EMPATHY is about standing in someone else’s shoes, feeling with
his heart, seeing with his eyes. Not only empathy hard to outsource and
automate but it makes the world a better place. It is the action of
understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously
experiencing the feelings, thoughts and experience of another of either the
past or present without having the feelings, thoughts and experience fully
communication in an objectively explicit manner. That, no one heals
themselves by wounding another.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 11 Empathy with their adviser, Ms.
Ivy S. Cortez.
… the Archduke and Archduchess of Seniors, Anton A. Parungao
and Ianne D. Mercado.

Let’s welcome the Juniors. A warm round of applause for the

gentlemen who look absolutely striking and to the stunning young ladies
tonight.
COMPASSION is at the heart of every little thing we do. It is the
dearest quality we possess, yet all too often it can be cast aside with
consequences too tragic to speak of. Compassion challenges our
assumptions, our sense of self-limitation, worthlessness, of not having a
place in the world, our feelings of loneliness and estrangement. These are
narrow, constrictive states of mind. As we develop compassion, our hearts
open. That is what compassion does.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 10 Compassion with their adviser,
Mrs. Irene C. Andal
… the Duke and Duchess of Juniors, Kenneth M. Parungao and April
M. Mangilit.
It takes COURAGE to live a human life. We all have varying
degrees of courage. For some, it is buried deep in hearts and psyches; for
others, it is a bright light that guides every step. But, for all of us, finding
courage can be a choice we make every day—often in the quietest of
ways. There is great courage in living life to the fullest, living with
authenticity and a sense of alignment with one’s most deeply held values.
And sometimes, simply getting up every day and putting one foot in front
of the other is an act of immense courage.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 10 Courage with their adviser, Mrs.
Sherly M. Parungao.
… the Viscount and Viscountess of Juniors, Zymon Paul N.
Javaluyas and Ryza Camille A. Maun.

COURTESY is a silver lining around the dark clouds of civilization;

it is the best part of refinement and in many ways, an art of heroic beauty
in the vast gallery of man’s cruelty and baseness. Nothing is ever lost by
courtesy. It is the cheapest of pleasures, costs nothing and conveys much.
It pleases him who gives and receives and thus, like. Courteous behavior
requires a selfless attitude and can give you perspective on others'
situations.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 10 Courtesy with their adviser, Ms.
Sharon Ann M. Esquivel
… the Marquess and Marchioness of Juniors, Marvie S. Pablo and
Mariel B. Parungao.
CHARITY is to give to others that which belongs to you. When you
give to charity, you experience happiness. Because when you let go of
something that you love, you give happiness to others. It is accepting
someone’s differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience
with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become
offended when someone doesn’t handle something the way we might have
hoped. Charity is expecting the best of each other.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Grade 10 Charity with their adviser, Mr.
Peter S. Santos.
… the Earl and Countess of Juniors, Kier D. Pelayo and Kristel Ciara
G. Guevarra.
Mr. & Mrs. Highschool
As the highest rulers of this kingdom march to their thrones, it is but
proper to welcome them with love, harmony and sincerity as shower
flowers their ways. Ladies and gentlemen, amaze and mesmerize… Our
Mr. & Ms. High School 2019.
Guests,….
Let’s give bow and curtsy as we have the entrance of our dear Guests,
Faculty members, Brgy. Council and PTA Officers. Let’s give them a big
resounding applause.

Evangelista Jr.

Intro to Guest Speaker

If one takes a closer look at the alchemy of the achieving person, two
distinct virtues pop up, besides perseverance and hard work. May I now
call on Mam Cirila J. Pamintuan to know our honored guest.

III. BEQUEATHAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Every JS Prom signifies the celebration of awards and achievements
of our senior students and these legacies should be handed over to the
deserving and trustworthy inheritors…. who else? The junior students!
Aside from that, all the scholastic emblems held by seniors for one school
year should be bequeathed to their honorable recipients----those symbols
of academic victories.
In this part of the program, we will witness the seniors as they pass
on and entrust to their junior counterparts’ things that hold great
significance and symbolisms. Let’s start off for the turnover.
** Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for that very meaningful and
nice turnover ceremony. Let us give them a big warm of applause
IV. COTILLION DE HONOR
The moment we have been craving for has finally come! The night of
the Juniors and the Seniors wherein they have turned to young adolescent
full of love and commitment! I believe, “Love is a dance step that never
goes out of style; sometimes you stumble, and sometimes you hurt your
partner, but oftentimes, you learn to survive.”
Fasten your seatbelts everyone! As we highlight the dance floor with
the gracious moves of the Juniors and Seniors royalties. Ladies and
Gentlemen, the Cotillion Dancers…
** Ladies and Gentlemen, once again, the Cotillion Royalty. Let’s
give them a round of applause.
V. CANDLE LIGHTING

Let’s keep the fire burning…… we’ve now come to the candle lighting
