Field study

I had graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, with Bachelor Degree in August 30th 2018.
My major is Agricultural Engineering and my field of study is water and soil resouces engineering.

My undergraduate thesis was “Erosion Prediction and its correlation with landslide event in Girimulyo,
Indonesia”. The project was comparing between erosion and landslide spots that happened in some
areas in. The rate of erosion was calculated by Arc GIS using Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE)
method.

For next study and research, my proposed field of study will be focus on erosion and landslide in
watershed. I want to study more about watershed, especially management and conservation of
watershed in the middle of modern era.

Research Program (up to 250 English Words)

a. Background and general description

A watershed is a topographically declinate area that is drained by a stream system. A
watershed is also a hydrological response unit,a biophysical unit, and a holistic ecosystem in
terms of materials, energy, and information that flow through it. This can also be a suitable
socioeconomic-political unit for management planning and implementation. In Indonesia, the
knowledge of watershed management and conservation is still lack. research about Indonesia
Watershed is also only a little. While mayority of natural hazard was caused by the damage of
watershed.
b. Objectives
To develope watershed management which has high quality water utilization for agricultural
in downstream area.
To minimalize natural hazard in watershed which give impact to downstream area.
