Q= We know that whatever is sensed is not necessarily perceived.

But Do you think

that we can have the perception of something without having it sensation?

A= Without sensation, perception will not be possible, except for people who believe in
extrasensory perception or ESP.. Sensation is the process of sensing the environment using the
five senses such as vision, hearing, smell, taste and touch. If body don't respond to specific
stimuli with the help of sensory receptors that collect and sense the information to the brain, how
could we have a perception of anything. Its a basic thing that when we have sensation as input of
something then surely we have perception of it as processing and will give output. And on the
other hand without perception, our sensations would remain to be "unknown" to us since there is
no mental processing of what we sense.

Q=. Keeping in mind the evolutionary perspective, how would the sound localization
help survival?

A= i start my answer with a simple example, if a drill machine sound is coming to you in your
house and you are unable to localise this sound that where it is actually coming. How can you
solve your problem. Same like for the survival in this world it is important to locate the position
from where the sound is coming. As we know bat is blind and she has the ability to locate sound
by echo ranging. And this process help her for survival. There is something natural in human
beings and if we lack we can not survive in this society. By locating sound position we can guess
the approximate distance also between two objects. Sound localization provides more natural and
comfortable listening experiace. It is also important for safety reasons such as to avoid oncoming
traffic, an approaching cyclist on a running path, or a falling object.
Q= People can say that they are ready to do anything not to feel the pain associated
with an important injury. What can you say about that ?

A= Sometimes we go through some incidents that are so painful and depressing for us.for
example if someone had a car accident and due to this his leg broken. He was unable to walk.
This thing not only affect him physically but also mentally. May be he goes into depression or
anxiety or may be any other mental disorder. So all the things he felt during his injury recovery
was so traumatic for him. Same like this many people are ready to do anything but not to feel
that specific injury incident from which they get disturbed mentally because it feels like you are
covered with huge painful bleeding scars that only you can feel and nobody else. They don't
want to feel that pain again because if they will they are unable to move out from it.

Q=. According to Gestalt principle, the whole is greater from the sums of its parts.
What does it mean when we talk about perception?

A = Gestalt theorists followed the basic principle that the whole is greater than the sum of its
parts. In other words, the whole (a picture, a car) carried a different and altogether greater
meaning than its individual components (paint, canvas, brush; or tires, paint, metal,
respectively).Gestalt psychology also helped introduce the idea that human perception is not just
about seeing what is actually present in the world around us. Much of what we perceive is
heavily influenced by our motivations and expectations. For example, we read this sentence like
this, notl iket hiso rt hat. We group the letters of a given word together because there are no
spaces between the letters, and we perceive words because there are spaces between each word.
when watching a football game, we tend to group individuals based on the colors of their
uniforms. When watching an offensive drive, we can get a sense of the two teams simply by
grouping along this dimension.
Q= Observe the figure below. How can we influence whether a person see a rabbit
or a duck?

A= When it comes to optical illusions, they are all about the eyes, brain, and perception.
Specifically, the eyes visually perceive an image which the brain then processes as not fitting in
line with or matching the stimulus source that it’s emanating from. In other words, it’s when you
look at something and end up seeing something else completely different. You look at X but
think you’re seeing Y. Generally speaking, there are many different types of illusions and optical
ones, also known as visual illusions, happen to be the most well known sub-category. We are
unable to influence someone. It's all about how their creativity work, how they sense and how
they perceive. Simple we can force them.
