Course Title: ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT
Prerequisite: None

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course deals with the theory and practice of organizational processes, forms of organizing
and their management. The key concepts of the course include basic management functions,
behavioral aspects of management, as well as contemporary tendencies in the theory of
organizational management. The field of study consists of organization, mutual conditionality of
the environment and organization, as well as the impact of individuals and groups on the
organization and vice-versa.
Mostly, the content of the course is focused on the leading/managing processes and provides
the students with an in-depth understanding of organizational sub-systems and their
integration, in order to achieve high organizational performances.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
I. Enable participants to cope with major issues that managers confront with, while
managing profit or non-profit organizations;
II. To provide with sound knowledge in the organization phenomenon and
organizational system processes.
III. Learn concepts and theories useful for diagnosing human behavior in organization;
IV. Develop an open-systems model of how organizations function;
V. Develop skills in using several tools of management.
