Introduction.
Aren't Plugins Brilliant!?
Over recent years, Wordpress has developed from being a simple blogging platform to … well
almost anything you want it to be.

This change has taken place because of plugins.

Those clever little bits of code that add functionality to any simple Wordpress installation.

For example, in the past, having a fully functioning membership site with its own affiliate
program & autoresponder would have cost a ton of money to have developed. Just think about
it... you can now have something like that set up & ready for content in around 15 minutes or
less... and that is just one example.

In this short guide, I will go through some of the FREE plugins that I find essential. Many of
these I install on every single Wordpress site I create.

In fact... They should charge for some of these... They are, well, Brilliant!

Free Plugins.
1. Hello Dolly
This is more than just a plugin.... Ahhhh... Almost had you there! Just joking ...This is Wordpress
bloatware rubbish and is the first thing I delete when I set up a blog......now let's get into it...

SEO Plugins
1. WP SEO Plugin by Yoast
This is probably the most complete SEO plugin out there. It allows for a meta snippet preview
and does an SEO page analysis for you prior to publishing your post or page, ensuring that you
have your keywords mentioned just right. It goes more in depth too. If you are in to SEO you
will love it.

2. WP Google Authorship
Also important for SEO but will add your picture next to your posts in the Google search results.
Even if you are not #1, it will increase clicks.

Security/Back ups
3. WP Clone
This is a very, very easy way to back up your whole site and even move it to a new domain or
server. One click makes a back up URL, then, if you want to import that to a fresh blog, you can
do it with one click again. Neat.

4. WP Log-in Lockdown
This is a nifty little security plugin that will limit the amount of “tries” that people have to
access your blog. It will then lock them out for a period & if they continue, will extend the
locked out period. Although it may not thwart an all-out bot attack, it is far better than having
no security at all.

Put your own details into a modified version of these terms of service and privacy pages.

6. Secure Contact Form

This makes a nice looking & editable contact form so your e-mail is not out there on the net.

7. WP Duplicate Post
This enables you to instantly clone a page or a post. Very useful if you want to split test
variations of squeeze page or sales page. All of the settings, styles etc are cloned into a new
draft version of the page or post in just one click.

9. TinyMCE Advanced
This expands the functionality of the visual html editor, so you will have loads more styling
choices when making a post or a page. It also has the ability to choose how individual links
open. So you can, for example, have a link opening in a small pop-up window.

10. WP Insert
This is the easiest tool to deploy adverts or banners anywhere on your blog... I mean anywhere.
In content above/below content, in the widget area. All done from one dash so its easy to
change things when you want to.

11. Share This for Wordpress

This adds a funky share button graphic on the side of your site and near the top. There are
loads of other things you can configure too. Best looking & easiest share tool I have used.

12. Amazon Link Localizer

If you display Amazon products on your blog & want to still get credited for sales from the
different Amazons around the world, then this is a must. Pop your Amazon Ids in and it will sort
out were the visitor is coming from for you. Easy & effective.

Some Premium Plugins That Are Worth

Every Cent.
These are just a few...Only the best of the best for this report. If you want to make money
online & you are going to be using Wordpress, then seriously consider these plugins. I have
each of them & use them all the time - they work well together… and the really make building a
business much easier!

Fastmember
This is probably the easiest to use and most feature rich membership site plugin out there. It
transforms your WordPress site into a fully-fledged membership site with all the bells &
whistles. Even including an autoresponder and an affiliates program if you want to use them.

Instabuilder 2.0
This is an extremely capable plugin that makes building squeeze pages, landing pages, sales
pages an absolute breeze. It has many other neat tricks up its sleeve too. Adding lightbox
content pop-ups & cool graphics. It is an awesome tool.

EasyAzon
This Amazon plugin allows you to quickly and easily add Amazon affiliate links to your
Wordpress posts and pages. You can search from within Wordpress for products to add and
insert text affiliate links, image affiliate links or a product info block. Quick and easy to use, this
is probably the best plugin on the market for Amazon affiliates.
