I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the learners shall be able to:
Cognitive: Give the purpose and guidelines of journal writing.
Affective: Appreciate the story “You Need to Take Charge of Your Future”.
Psychomotor: Write reflection about the day’s lesson.
Create a script of their life in their journal using guide questions.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: The Power of Journal Writing: Unfolding your Personal Journey
Area: Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track
References: Personal Development Reader: 2016. DepEd Central Office
Materials: Marker, manila paper, chalk, board

III. PROCEDURES

DAILY ROUTINE
Proper Greetings
Prayer
Checking of attendance
Observance of cleanliness in the room

A. ACTIVITY
The class will read the story “You Need to Take Charge of Your Future.”

B. ANALYSIS
Discussion questions:
1. Who are you among these three people?
2. Do you merely watch your life go by?
3. Or do you act out a script that you feel has been handed to you?
4. Or do you write the script that make your life beautiful?

C. ABSTRACTION
From the discussion questions, the teacher will discuss the purpose of journal writing and the guide questions in
writing the journal.

D. APPLICATION
The students will create a script of their life in their journal using the guide questions. A third person point of view
should be observed by the students.

IV. EVALUATION
The students will be asked to maintain their journal by writing their reflection on this day.
V. ASSIGNMENT:

The students shall bring a picture (ID size or whole body) and paste it in the middle of a page of their journal.
