Human Resource Management Practices and its Effect on Employees Performance

in Criscat Catering Services Lucban,Quezon

Rationale of the study

The catering business is one of the most lucrative and profitable home businesses with a high

potential for expansion and growth. It is both financially rewarding and fun. Each catered event –

whether birthday parties for children, company dinner parties and wedding reception involving a

hundred or more guests is a new experience and challenge with new group or people.

In the province, there are several catering services that occur, extending services in the group of

people on which they are offering services for the hectic scheduled families and those people

who does not want to have work in the kitchen preparing for a hundred of people who will attend

parties, catering services will be the one who assist and done all the works.

However, catering services is a demanding work, requiring stamina, ability to work under

pressure, and excellent interpersonal skills.

The study evaluates the effects of human resource management practices namely: recruitment

and selection, compensation and benefits, training and performance appraisal on employees

performance in Criscat catering services. A total of 100 employees of catering service to the self-

administered questions which measured the four HRM practices with employee performance.

Regression and correlation analysis a significant and positive association of these four practices

with employee performance. The study pre-insight to the management of the organization to use
these practice for superior and improved performance contributes to the limited empirical

knowledge in the context of Catering.

Objectives of the study

This study aims to identify the Human Resource Management Practices and its effect on

employees performance in Criscat catering services

Specifically, the researchers aimed to accomplish the following objectives:

1.4 Educational Attainment

1.5 Number of years in service

2. To determine the Human Resource Management Practices in terms of:

3. To determine the Effect of Human resource management practices to employees

performance in Criscat catering services.


Conceptual Framework

The conceptual frame work of the study uses the input-process-output (IPO) whereas the

input of the study that the researchers aims to determine in the profile of the respondents be

described in terms of: age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, number of years in

service. To determine the HRM practices in terms of: recruitment and selection, compensation

and benefits, training, and performance appraisal and effects of HRM practices on Employees

performance are followed The process in gathering data thru questionnaires. Statistical

analyzation of data and the output of the study is improvement of catering services and

employees performance .
