Recollection para sa mga manggagawa ng Cursillo

Theme: “Let Christ be the reason”

Note well: Present the theme at the conclusion part only.

I. Introduction
a. Eyes-breaker- dance & sing as usual
b. Opening prayer, assigned to the youngest attendee

c. Main introduction-
i. Ask why are you here? (allow 2 volunteers to answer)
1. The answer is: We are to recollect
ii. Discuss what is the importance of recollection (cite biblical
foundations/ church doctrines about recollection)
II. Body
a. Start with the basic foundation of existence, that is, “Everything must
have a reason for its being.” In short, everything has a reason.
i. All of us, as cursillistas, started at a certain circumstance. Now
ask them, “Paano ka ba nagsimula?” (How did you start?)
1. Allow 3 persons to share. Give them 3-minute rule. Just
like a game, draw lots is the best idea.
ii. All of us, as cursillistas, continued to serve. Now ask them,
“Bakit nagserve ka pa?” (Why did you continue to serve?)
1. Allow 3 persons to share as per last question.
iii. All of us, cursillistas, were baptized with our names. Now ask
them, “Sino ka ba para magsilbi sa simbahan?” (Who are you
to serve the Church?)
1. Allow 3 persons to share as per last questions
iv. All of us, cursillistas, are still serving for a reason. Now ask them,
“Para kanino ka bumabangon?” (For whom do you wake
up?) Be honest here.
1. Allow 3 persons to share as per last questions.
III. Conclusion
a. 4 questions were presented to you.
i. How did you start
ii. Why did you continue to serve?
iii. Who are you to serve?
iv. For whom do you serve?
b. All these questions are designed to let you recollect and to let you
see the spaces between the lines.
i. For the first question, you are reminded of your reunion with
the grace of God. It was His grace that brought you to that
moment.
ii. For the second question, you are asked to remember why did
you pursue being an active cursillista rather than spending
time for other endeavors. This question must have reminded
you of your response to the that sweet voice of Jesus asking
you to follow him.
iii. For the 3rd question, you are challenged to present yourself.
Who are you to be worthy of your status as a servant of
Christ? This question must have touched your pride.
iv. For the best question, you are asked to be honest. There must
be a reason why you are still serving here. Is it for money? For
fame? For you? For your love ones? The true answer lies within
you. Only you and God know the answer. But here, you
should know that God is the only one you are serving. And in
addition to that, you don’t serve alone.
1. Biblical insights.
a. 12 apostles
b. Go and proclaim the gospel, by twos
c. Moses and the freed slaves of Egypt
d. Etc.
2. When we serve, we serve together. St. Augustine said.
“If you are having conflicts with your co-servants, go
and talk.” Don’t be the Judas among the apostles.
v. Final conclusion
1. Ask the 4 questions again. This time you are going to
ask Jesus. Now ask them, how do you think Jesus will
answer.
a. “Not my will, but yours be done.”
vi. Let Christ be the reason.
