218MC network port communication operation instruction

Network communication preparing:

1. Connect the PC and CNC with network cable.
2. Open the GSKCOMM FOR GSK218MC LAN on PC.
3. GSKComm software settting:
1) Click the Connect(C) manual to choose “start serve”, if communication success,
the red dot on the lower right will become green, see picture 11-3-3-1。

2)Click the “user manager”, press “add” button to enter “user manager” setting
page, see picture 11-3-3-2。

Network transfer data

Operation steps please see below:
1. choose MDI mode

2. press key to enter “SETTING”, turn on the “PAR SWITCH”，input Machine

password, see picture 11-3-4-1。

3、 When it is SETTING page, Press Page down key to go to SYSTEM IP SETTING page,
to set IP address the same network with the PC, others are the same with PC.
 The “actual address”can be set according to the actual address, or no need
to set, see picture 11-3-4-2。

4、PC Setting：
1）Click the computer "My Network Places", right-click the "local connection"
attribute appears internet protocol is shown see Picture 11-3-4-3。

2）The IP address of CNC can’t be same with the IP address of PC, Subnet mask and default
gateway should be same.

5、Press key of GSK218MC operation panel, to enter SETTING display

interface, then press soft key，to enter network transfer page, there

are USER NAME, PASSWORD, LOG IN, move the cursor left or right to enter user
name, password, then press “ENTER” to log in. if want to log out please press
“ENTER” again. See picture 11-3-4-4）

NOTE: The files on the left is belong to CNC, the files on the right below to the PC.

6、Then press the【Network transfer】soft key，to download, upload files and proceed DNC
machining.

A、 PC—CNC download file

a) Press key ，move the cursor to the file directory.

 b) Press or to move the cursor，to choose CNC program file
of the PC.
c) Press 【DOWNLOAD】soft key，CNC will show“transferring…..”。
d) If the CNC program file name already existed，the system will remind you
“do replace the file?”press <INPUT> key，the new program file will replace
the original one。
If need to rename the CNC program file,，press <CANCEL> key，input new
program name（like O10、O100）， Press <INPUT > key again, can download
CNC program file. See picture 11-3-4-6

B、 CNC—PC upload file

a) Press key，to move the cursor to the file directory。

b) Press or to move the cursor，choose the CNC program

file.
c) Press 【UPLOAD】soft key，system will show“Transferring…..”。
d) If the CNC program file name already existed，the system will remind you
“do replace the file?”press <INPUT> key，the new program file will replace
the original one. See picture11-3-4-7

e) If need to delete the files of the PC end window, press 、 ，

to move the cursor to the file directory。

f) Press or to move the cursor，choose the CNC program file

from the PC end window；press key ，system will show “do delete

the file？”press key to confirm delete；if not please press

key to quit.
