This course studies Nepali literary and cultural texts in relation to their social, political and
historical contexts. It comprises of seminal essays about the cultural politics of Nepal, readings
in Nepali English literature, Nepali literature in translation and folklore. The course also offers
readings that seek to theorize and express multicultural experiences of Nepal.
