Dear State Central Committee Member: November 20, 2010

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your Party’s 1st Vice Chairman these past two years. With your
help and hard work, the GOP made historic gains all across our state. Now, I am respectfully asking for
your vote on December 4th at the State Central Committee meeting for Chairman of the Republican
Party of New Mexico.

Many of you know my longstanding commitment to the Republican Party, our principles and our candidates.
For almost ten years, I have organized and trained hundreds of lawyers and poll challengers for get-out-the-
vote efforts, planned statewide election integrity programs and state conventions, and worked with the state
legislature representing the Republican Party’s platform. I also served four years as your State Secretary,
gaining invaluable familiarity with party rules and procedures.

I am proud to have fought voter fraud by helping defeat two Democratic initiatives that, if implemented,
would have been disastrous for every Republican candidate statewide – i.e. same-day voter registration and
re-districting of all House seats. This was no easy task. Powerful liberal special interest groups, such as
the ACLU, were present at every committee hearing to speak up in support of these measures. Fighting
this legislation brought me to Santa Fe day-and-night until we prevailed.

In 2010, I also organized and secured funding for the “Republican Party’s War Room”, with an expanded
month-long operation; prepared Election Day protocols; briefed lawyers and managed staffing of the legal
hotline, both on Election Day and during early voting. These efforts were crucial in securing the integrity of
every vote and guaranteeing that all Republican votes were counted. This benefited every one of our
Republican candidates. Sue Lynch, Federation of Republican Women National President, toured our
operation and proclaimed it “top notch.” Jan Larimer, Republican National Committee Co-Chairman, said
she had toured many state election integrity operations during the election cycle and proclaimed ours the
“best organized and most extensive.”

I am an eleventh-generation New Mexican. I graduated from Las Vegas Robertson High School and went
to the University of New Mexico, where I was a presidential scholar and honors graduate. After completing
a master’s degree in public administration with high honors, I then received a juris doctorate from Rutgers
Law School. I began my political experience as an intern and staff assistant for United States Senator
Harrison “Jack” Schmitt and subsequently worked as national field coordinator for Reagan-Bush ’84. I then
served as legislative assistant to Congressman Joe Skeen. From 1994 to 1999, I was a trustee and Mayor
Rudy Giuliani’s representative on the New York City Police Department, Fire Department and Deferred
Compensation boards of directors with fiduciary responsibility for over $23 billion in public monies. I reside
with my husband of twenty-two years, who was born in Clovis and is a graduate of NMSU; our 15-year-old
son; and my 92-year-old father.

My vision is for New Mexico Republicans to become the majority party and for our values to guide our state
into the future. In the coming days, I look forward to speaking with you, answering your questions and
laying out my plan to advance our party on all fronts in the 2012 election cycle. I would be grateful for
your vote for State Chairman on Saturday, December 4th.
