I am currently 20 years old as I write this letter to you.

You are 13 years old right now, and I

would honestly tell you that in this seven years gap that we have, I have a lot of regrets in my life
already. I hope you would continue reading this letter that I have prepared especially for you
because I am your future self.

Life is full of surprises they say. It may hurt you or make you feel that you are the luckiest
person alive. As much as I want to be the latter, there were more surprises life had given me that
made me experience pain and anguish.

I want to tell you that, after a year, your grandmother will die at the age of 89 years old without
seeing the graduation of your younger brother, Jun. She would die alone because of old age in a
public hospital, so you better reconcile with her and try to make sure that you visit her regularly
in the hospital when that time comes. Be sure to stay by her side until her eventual death. You'll
regret it soon if you don't follow what I say.

In your Junior High School years, you'll break up with your current boyfriend right now, and
because of that you'll be depressed because of him and our family's financial crisis and try to
commit suicide multiple times but always fail. Don't do that like what I've done because you'll
eventually get back together when you are a Senior High School student in Ateneo. Yes, Ateneo,
your dream school. You'll be a scholar in your Senior High and college so you must continue to
do well in your studies because you'll eventually go to your dream school to study what your
parents want - Accountancy.
