Apa itu fiber optik ?

Fiber Optik adalah saluran transmisi atau sejenis kabel yang terbuat dari kaca yang
sangat halus dan lebih kecil dari sehelai rambut.

Digunakan untuk men-transmisikan sinyal cahaya dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain.

Sumber cahaya yang digunakan biasanya adalah dari sinar LASER atau LED.

Core
• Terbuat dari bahan kuarsa merupakan bagian utama
dari serat optik karena perambatan cahaya sebenarnya
terjadi pada bagian ini.
