PCCI 20TH ANNIVERSARY DESIGN CONTEST GUIDELINES


20 Years of Training Excellence in Digital Arts

In preparation for Philippine Center for Creative Imaging’s 20th Anniversary in June, we are holding an anniversary
design package contest exclusive to PCCI students and instructors.

WHO CAN JOIN


This contest is open to:
§ PCCI current and past students
§ PCCI current and past instructors
§ Professional or amateur graphic design artists, as long as you’re a PCCI current or past student/instructor

Participants below 18 years old must accomplish and submit the Consent Form (downloadable from the contest website)
signed by their parent/guardian.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


The theme for PCCI’s 20th Anniversary is Celebrate Creativity. We want an anniversary design package that:
§ is festive yet chic, young, fresh, and creative
§ reflects the theme
§ has a cohesive look/feel

CONTEST DURATION
§ Contest Launch: February 10, 2020
§ Deadline of submission: March 15, 2020
§ Announcement of winner: March 23, 2020

The winner will be announced on PCCI’s Facebook Page and notified via email and SMS.

WHAT AND HOW TO SUBMIT

General Guidelines:
§ Only digital files are accepted.
§ Submission is through e-mail only. Other forms of submission will not be entertained.
§ There should be no identifying marks of the artist on any of the entries.
§ There is no limit to the number of entries per participant but submit only one set of entries (in a zip folder) per
e-mail.
§ All entries must be the participant’s original work and must not infringe on any third party’s existing
copyrights.
§ If applicable, the participant is responsible for securing the necessary releases and/or licenses. Such releases
and/or licenses may be requested to be submitted.
§ Entries must not have been submitted in other competitions.

All files must be in RGB


There should be no identifying marks of the artist on any of the entries.
1. Anniversary Logo

Entries must be sent to:

§ Subject: PCCI 20th Anniversary Design Contest
§ Body: include the following in the e-mail body:
o Your Full Name
o Your Mobile Number
o Your Birthday
o Link to the Google Drive Folder, if the files are too big for e-mail attachment. Make sure that your
Google Drive Folder’s sharing settings allows PCCI to download your files. Files that cannot be
downloaded will be eliminated.
o A maximum of 500-word description/explanation of the significance of the components in the logo.
o Copy and paste this statement in the e-mail body:
By submitting an entry to the PCCI 20th Anniversary Logo Design Contest, I certify that I have read and
understood, and that I agree on the guidelines and Terms & Conditions of the contest. I guarantee that
my entry is my original work, has not been submitted to any competition, and that it does not infringe
on any third party’s existing copyrights. I take accountability to any complaints that may arise about
my entry and I will be responsible in proving its authenticity.
§ Attachments:

o Photo or scanned copy of the accomplished Consent Form if you are under the age of 18 (This can be

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


• Reflection of the theme 25%
• Creativity 25%
• Cohesiveness of the designs 25%
• Impact 25%

PRIZES
The Grand Winner will receive a total of P20,000 worth of prizes courtesy of Ynzal Marketing Corp and Wacom

All prizes must be claimed at Philippine Center for Creative Imaging

TERMS & CONDITIONS


Ownership
● All winning design packages will be the property of Philippine Center for Creative Imaging and PCCI will have
the right to use it in original or modified form, and in any medium or format for any purposes such as, but not
limited to, PCCI’s marketing materials.
● All non-winning participants maintain ownership of their entries.
● All participants grant PCCI permission to showcase their work with a “Work by” line, in print or digital format,
from the date the winner is announced up to December 31, 2020, in any or all of the following channels:
o PCCI website
o PCCI social media accounts
o PCCI premises
o PCCI events
● PCCI’s use of any of the non-winning entries for a longer period, and/or for other purposes not stated above
shall be subject to the written approval of the participant.

Other Terms
● The PCCI logo is a proprietary corporate identity. The use of the PCCI logo other than for this contest, without
PCCI’s written approval is thereby prohibited.
● The winning 20th Anniversary logo will be used in posters, banners, T-shirts, and other marketing materials,
both in print and digital format.
● The participants may upload, at any time, any of their work or entries in their social media accounts with the
following hashtags: #PCCI20th #PCCItraining #GraphicDesign
● The judges’ decision is final.
● PCCI, to the best of its abilities, will investigate all the entries and disqualify works that clearly violate copyright
and/or competition policies.
● In the event that a work has been found in violation of copyright laws, the participant shall be responsible for
any damages resulting to this violation. PCCI will not be held responsible for works submitted in violation of
copyright and/or competition rules.
● All winning and non-winning participants may use their work as part of their personal portfolio at any time.
