What form of production do you intend on producing? (short film, music video, stop
motion animation, documentary)

I intend on producing a short film production. My short film is the story of a man
slowly succumbing to their own mental illness, which is shown to be deteriorating as
the film plays out until the end. I will present this through camerawork and the
people surrounding the main character. The characters that the protagonist
interacts with change as he grows further and further away from reality, either by
their growing concern/fear or through them not even existing in the first place.

Based on the performances in your previous units, what areas do you need to
improve on this time round?

I will need to improve my overall camerawork, especially my previous experiences

with digital noise. With all of my previous works, there have been several shots were
noise/grain is clear, making the production uglier and less professional looking.

Why have you chosen this production? What visual based skills do you feel it will help
you to develop?

I have chosen this production because it will both test my skills as a storywriter and a
cinematographer. Since the short film is based around the idea of someone going
insane, I can present this through various shot types that can be classed as uneasy
or disorienting.

Will you be working individually or as part of a 2 person team? Why have you chosen
this?

I have decided to work on this production individually. This is because I do not want
my idea/s to be overly influenced by others; though I do understand secondary
opinions can be valuable, having too much can tarnish my original visionary
direction. The most I plan on working with others is through actors or help with
camerawork.
