Dear Friend,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so very
grateful for the love that God has given humanity. When Jesus Christ came to the
earth, it was such a dark place spiritually. It is when darkness covers the land the light
of Christ shines the brightest. When all is well in the natural world we think we don't
need the Lord as much. But every day has a night time. Every summer has an autumn
approaching. Seasons and times change continually. Only those who put their trust in
the Lord will come forth of them all!
Recently, there have been seasons of change for my life. Whenever change
comes our way there is also a lot of uncertainty. Questions may flood our minds and
hearts. The old familiar patterns are disrupted and we are left to try to find our way
again. While praying one morning at the church I came across this old familiar
Scripture, written many centuries ago. In Isaiah 41:10 & 13 it says, "Fear thou
not..." Fear takes on different forms and meanings. It could be anxiety or agitation; it
could be dread of facing something we don't want to face, and we feel alone. But the
Lord speaks to us through the pen of the prophet Isaiah and says, "Fear thou not; for
I am with thee..." God gives us a reason to not fear: "...for I am with thee." Knowing
this gives me not only comfort but confidence. You and I are not alone in this life, nor
in the next to come!
"...be not dismayed..." Are the circumstances you are facing causing you to
look around bewildered? Maybe you have been considering looking away from the
Lord and the things He set up to help you. Jesus said He would build His church
(that's you and me!) and the gates of hell would not prevail against it! There may be
some battles and fearful things come our way, but nothing shall stop the church of our
Lord Jesus Christ from conquering every conflict. We are in this world but we are not
of this world. He told us not to be dismayed, "...for I am thy God." The Lord is the
highest authority there is in heaven or earth! He is as high as you can go. We bring our
petitions to Him and if He says "Yes" to you, no one or no thing can change that! We
learn what His will is in different matters that we face in life by studying His Word.
One thing the Lord Jesus taught us was no matter what problem He faced, no matter
what the situation was that presented itself, He would say, "It is written..." So He was
not bound by feelings or past experiences or misconceptions.
Reading on in this passage it says, "I will strengthen thee..." The Lord will
make His people strong. His Spirit will bring comfort and strength to that area that is
weak in you, whether morally or physically. Then he said, 'I will help thee..." He will
surround you with protection and aid. No matter what you are going through, even if
you don't see Him or feel Him, He is working for your good! There is always
something to learn in the experiences we go through.
He then said, "I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness."
In other words, He follows our every move closely, so that we can maintain right
standing with Him. For our sake He wants us to stay in right standing with God's
Word. It will bring peace and prosperity to our lives.
Then He said, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto
thee, Fear not; I will help thee." To have and hold the hand of God through this life
brings great comfort and excitement, because you need not fear anything if He is
holding your hand! He will walk with you and talk with you and tell you that you
belong to Him. Nothing can harm you if you hold His righteous right hand! Even
when you face that river that we all must face some day, He is the same on the other
side as He is here. He will guide you all the way to that land of unclouded skies!
Where the grass is greener than any color here on earth! The sky is the deepest blue
man has never seen before, and the atmosphere is filled with the sweet music of
worship to the King of all kings! Jesus said He is preparing a place for us...not some
little broom closet, but a mansion! The streets are paved with gold. It is a place where
God Himself shall wipe away every tear. There shall be no more death, nor sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. The former things (what we live in
today) are passed away there. All things are made new!
The best days are not behind us, my friend! No, the best days are before us, for
the Lord Jesus Christ is ever before us. We are not moved from this hope that Christ
Jesus gave us. All we need do is to turn toward Him with an open heart, asking for
forgiveness of sins: all those things we know are wrong that separates us from Him,
and let Him cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The day I turned to the Lord Jesus
with all my heart was the day I found Him standing there with His arms opened wide
for me! If He accepted me into this new life, He will surely accept you! Turn to Him
today with faith believing and you will never be the same! May God bless you!
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
