Biography
Dina Magna Páucar Valverde was born in the province of Leoncio Prado, Tingo María, in the
department of Huánuco, on June 14, 1969. Daughter of Don Alejandro Páucar and Doña
Aquila Valverde, is the mother of four children: Alejandro, Diana, Catherine and Jacqueline.
She arrived in Lima when she was ten years old, almost like an adventurer, but her age did
not prevent her from overcoming the hardness of the capital, which is always hostile to its
new inhabitants. Here she was a street vendor, emollient and housekeeper, but she always
had the firm desire to go far with music.

The vocation of singer was born when she was 14, while working as a maid; No one imagined
it would be a star. According to Dina, while cooking she imagined the melodies and then
memorized them. That must be why songs like Mother or How cute your eyes are, they have
the warmth of freshly prepared food.

At age 20, when he began to have greater security on the stage, he suffered a love
disappointment that marked his life. Her boyfriend did not accompany her in her pregnancy
and she had to get away from the music. Meanwhile, his parents blamed the artistic world
for its uncertain destiny.

That experience taught me to be responsible. In addition to being the mother of my son

Alejandro, who is now 16 years old, I worked as an emollient street vendor and after clothes,
to help my younger brothers. Therefore, every time I saw other young artists I was frustrated
to stop singing. However, Dina Páucar rehearsed alone for one day to return to the stage and
externalize her feelings. In 1992 he recorded the production My Treasure with his own
resources, where he included his first compositions and was baptized as The Voice of Love,
by virtue of its great sensitivity.

Two years later he joined the Prodisar Caravan, a delegation of artists that broadcast the
Huayno executed with harp, timbale, drums, güiro and electronic bass. His main figures were
presented, as until today, mainly in the cones of Lima, thanks to the sponsorship of a record
company.

In 1994, with the support of Prodisar, he launched "With love for all of Peru". This is the

The phenomenon
Far are the days when a very young Dina Páucar slept on the cold floor of Plaza San Martín,
after escaping from the family home of Huánuco to come to conquer Lima, and unlike many

is betrayed, and today it has become a true anthem of the suffered women.
Because of its realistic, humble and simple style, this way Dina Páucar overcame anonymity,
becoming a true icon of folk music in Peru, surpassing the expectations of all social classes in
the country, and for this reason it has been considered a social phenomenon of great
magnitude.

Each time he sings accompanied by his group Los Superelegantes, he is able to tear those
who attend his presentations that reach almost 15,000 people in a presentation. Likewise,

Biografía
Dina Magna Páucar Valverde nació en la provincia de Leoncio Prado, Tingo María, en el
departamento de Huánuco, el 14 de junio de 1969. Hija de Don Alejandro Páucar y
Doña Aquila Valverde, es madre de cuatro niños: Alejandro, Diana, Catherine y
Jacqueline. Llegó a Lima cuando tenía diez años, casi como una aventurera, pero su
edad no le impidió vencer la dureza de la capital, que siempre es hostil con sus nuevos
habitantes. Aquí fue vendedora ambulante, emolientera y empleada doméstica, pero
siempre tuvo el firme deseo de llegar lejos con la música.
La vocación de cantante nació cuando ella tenía 14 años, mientras trabajaba como
empleada doméstica; nadie imaginaba que sería una estrella. Según Dina, mientras
cocinaba imaginaba las melodías y luego las memorizaba. Debe ser por eso que
canciones como Madre o Qué lindos son tus ojos, tienen la calidez de la comida recién
preparada.
A los 20 años, cuando empezaba a tener mayor seguridad sobre los escenarios, sufrió
una decepción amorosa que marcó su vida. Su novio no la acompañó en su embarazo y
ella tuvo que alejarse de la música. En tanto, sus padres culparon al mundo artístico
por su destino incierto.
Esa experiencia me enseñó a ser responsable. Además de ser madre de mi hijo
Alejandro, que hoy tiene 16 años, trabajé como vendedora ambulante de emoliente y
después de ropa, para ayudar a mis hermanos menores. Por eso, cada vez que veía a
otros artistas jóvenes me sentía frustrada por dejar el canto. Sin embargo, Dina Páucar
ensayaba a solas para un día volver a los escenarios y exteriorizar sus sentimientos. En
1992 grabó la producción Mi tesoro con sus propios recursos, donde incluyó sus
primeras composiciones y fue bautizada como La Voz del Amor, en virtud de su gran
sensibilidad.
Dos años después se incorporó a la Caravana Prodisar, delegación de artistas que
difunde el huayno ejecutado con arpa, timbal, batería, güiro y bajo electrónico. Sus
principales figuras se presentaban, como hasta hoy, principalmente en los conos de
Lima, gracias al auspicio de una casa discográfica.
En 1994, con el apoyo de Prodisar lanza "Con amor para todo el Perú". Este es el disco
que le hace saber que iba por el camino correcto; gracias al single "Qué lindos son tus
ojos" consigue un Disco de Oro por record de venta y se hace conocida en casi todo el
Perú alcanzando su maximo auge con el reconocido tema con el cual traspasa
fronteras y es reclamada en cada rincon del pais y el extranjero consiguiendo un Disco
de Oro por record de ventas.
Tiene actualmente un programa en Radio Inca 540 A.M., que va de lunes a sábado de
11:00 a 11:30 a.m. y de 7:30 a 8:00 p.m. También en Radio Unión 103.3 F.M. de lunes a
sábado de 8:00 a 9:00 a.m. Es cierto que el éxito llama al éxito: Dina Páucar se ha
convertido en todo un fenómeno de la música folclórica, su calidad musical crece cada
día como una ola y ella está en la cresta.
El fenómeno
Lejanos están los días en que una jovencísima Dina Páucar durmió en el frío piso de la
Plaza San Martín, luego de escapar de la casa familiar de Huánuco para venir a
conquistar Lima, y a diferencia de muchos ella sí llegó a la cima. Ahora da hasta cuatro
conciertos en un día, y convoca multitudes que la convierten en una de las cantantes
folclóricas más exitosas del Perú.
La cantautora no tardó en darse cuenta de su talento, se decidió a tomar al toro por las
astas y se lanzó a cantar con todo. Comenzó en polladas y locales de música folclórica.
Le tomó 10 años, pero lo logró, aunque al inicio muchos decían que era carismática
pero no llegaría lejos.
De niña jugaba con su inocencia y sus sueños. Pero no imaginaba llegar a tener la
popularidad de que hoy goza en el ámbito folclórico. Al observar a los artistas
consagrados de su tiempo y a sus padres, que cantaban en reuniones familiares, la
huanuqueña Dina Páucar Valverde definió a temprana edad su vocación de intérprete
de música peruana. La destacada artista del canto vernáculo Esmila Zevallos descubrió
su talento innato y le dio los primeros consejos.
Me recomendó cantar con alegría y confianza, tratando de mantener una mayor
comunicación con el público, recuerda.Sus padres, quienes aplaudieron sus cualidades
artísticas, la respaldaron para que alcanzara la meta propuesta. Así, a los once años
llegó a la capital a fin de iniciar su carrera. Al principio ensayó algunos temas del folclor
andino, pero al escuchar al grupo tropical Pintura Roja sintió simpatía por su vocalista,
La Princesita Mily. Entonces, convenció a sus padres para dedicarse a la cumbia lo que
no tuvo frutos.
Cuando me inicié, los empresarios dudaban de mi capacidad. Entonces me obligaron a
grabar una producción para probar si podía integrar la caravana artística. Asumí el reto
mediante el disco Con amor para todo el Perú.
Así nació el huayno Qué lindos son tus ojos, que le canta al amor sincero que es
traicionado, y hoy se ha convertido en un verdadero himno de las mujeres sufridas. Por
su estilo realista, humilde y sencillo, de esta manera Dina Páucar superó el anonimato,
convirtiéndose en un verdadero ícono de la música folclórica en Perú, superando las
espectativas de todas las clases sociales en el país, y por este motivo ha sido
considerada un fenómeno social de gran magnitud.
Cada vez que canta acompañada por su grupo Los Superelegantes, es capaz de
arrancarles lágrimas a quienes asisten a sus presentaciones que llegan a las casi 15.000
personas en una presentacion. Igualmente, con su voz puede motivar los incontables
zapateos de una multitud que la admira.
Sus constantes viajes por el interior del pais y paises como Chile , Argentina , Bolivia ,
Ecuador , España ,Estados Unidos , Inglaterra, la convierten en una de las artista mas
importante del peru enfrentando las dificultades que representa llevar esa
responsabilidad en sus espaldas tratandose de una persona de raises humildes que ah
sabido sobresalir ante muchas adversidades .
Sin embargo, su arrollador éxito y la cantidad de gente que llena los locales para
escuchar a la cantante de 38 años no hace mas que demostrar su talento , ha vendido
150 000 copias de sus diez discos compactos, superando los 10 900 vendidos por
