produced on a regular basis. It is time for organizations to take a more sophisticated and mature
approach to manage data, databases and data structures, e.g., files and lists to make the most of
the information they consume and produce — data organized in an order that starts with the
tiniest part of information utilized by a computer system used for discussion, e.g., a solo
character, e.g., number or a letter. Related records, files make up a company database.
Generally, companies for handling data and related databases uses a methodology that
comprises keeping distinct record files for all applications. For example, in our organization, a
worker file/document would be kept for payroll determinations whereas another worker’s file
may be kept for newsletter purpose (Brookshear, 2015). Organizations can employ DBMS for
efficiently managing their databases and information. For example, in our company, ABC
Logistics, for managing databases, relational database management systems (RDBMS) is used
with the help of relational algebra, e.g. using queries. The records are kept and retrieved with
machine executions languages, e.g. SQL (Structured Query Language) is extensively used.
RDBMS supports the relational data structure, e.g. keeping records in tables using the concepts
of integrity rules and keys (Brookshear, 2015). Apart from using DBMS, organization executes
reporting and analytics on dormant information to obtain novel insights deprived of influencing
Database system approaches systems used by companies to help to store and retrieve
data, make modifications, manipulations and report production efficiently. Data manipulation
and data definition languages and use of data dictionary are some of the key ways to manage
databases in a relational data tables significant for database administration — data warehousing
likewise another approach that organizations used for managing and keeping information.
Though the approach is not the lively and active scheme, however, it updated weekly or daily.
DATA MANAGEMENT AT ORGANIZATION 3
For example, our company utilizes a comparatively one terabyte data in size. The minor
portions of the huge database can be further fragmented and warehoused for additional
investigation to prevent slowing down of the huge database (Lungu, et al., 2009). Data
arrangement and efficient administration are crucial to best data usage. Hence, it is significant
consideration must be offered to access, content, physical organization, and logical structure
(Stajano, 1998). In the end, I would like to express that I do not have sound knowledge and
background on data management. My company's data management ways are confidential not
to be thoroughly disclosed.
