OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to;
1. Distinguish the different types of natural resources;
2. Identify the effects of human activities on natural resources; and
3. Recognize the importance of natural resources in our lives.

I. CONTENT
Topic: Conservation and Protection on Natural Resources

II. PROCEDURES

Elicit:
1. What are natural resources?
2. What are the different type of natural resources?
Engage:

 Giving the objectives of today’s lesson


 Presentation of the topic
The teacher will group the student into 2 to answer the activity entitled

Explore:
Group Activity: Ways People Destroy Natural Resources
1. Students will be grouped into five (5)
2. Each group must select a representative to pick one human activity.
3. They will work together to answer and discuss to the class the effect of this
activities on natural resources
4. Each group may think of ways on how to present their output in creative way.
Example, role playing, demonstration, pantomime, jingle, poster etc.
5. Each group will be given 20 minutes to finish their task.

Explain:
Answer the following guide questions.
1. How do human activities affect the environment?
2. Why does the human being have important place in environment?
3. What can you do to conserve resources?

Elaborate:
Video presentation about conservation of natural resources.
Group activity entitled BUILDING BLOCKS
1. The student has the same groupings.
2. Each group will form pyramid with the use of plastic cups, those cups represent
different natural resources such as water, air, coil, soil, minerals and oil.
3. After arranging the student are going to get one of the blocks they use the most.
4. The student will observe what will happen.

GUIDE QUESTIONS
1. What did you notice upon doing activity?
2. What is the importance of conserving natural resources?
3. Why we should conserve natural resources?

Evaluation:
The result of their group activity will be the basis of their evaluation.

Extend:
Vlog per barangay or undergo activity to observe natural resources
