We are very excited that our entire Golf Shop Staff will be returning for the fourth
season together! We have a wonderful team and are looking forward to offering you
the best possible service this golf season. Brendan is entering his fourth season as
Head Golf Professional and 13th season overall at Southview. We have a lot to be
excited about this year including our revamped Women's Twilight League, the World
Handicap System and of course our Brand New Golf Shop & Indoor Hitting Center
coming in 2020! All of which you will read about in this Golf Newsletter.

Will Dretsch
PGA ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Will Dretsch, Lead Assistant Golf Professional, will again be handling a majority of
the golf instruction. He will be offering numerous clinics this upcoming season
including: Titleist Short Game Schools, Clinics & Cocktails, Pre-Season Junior After
School Clinics, a brand new putting clinic, as well as new offerings which are
highlighted in this newsletter! He will continue to oversee the Men’s League this
season!

Scott Parssinen
PGA ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Scott Parssinen, Assistant Golf Professional, will be back for this fourth year at
Southview. Scott spent his off-season gaining PGA Membership and working at
SportsRadar in Minneapolis. In addition to competing in Minnesota PGA Events
quite often, Scott will be overseeing a majority of our Junior Instruction, the 18-
Hole Women’s League and serve as captain of our PGA Junior League Team!

Willem Dohne
ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Willem Dohne, Assistant Golf Professional, will make his return from the warm
winter in Tempe, Arizona where he worked at Fire Rock Country Club. He is the go-to
guy for your re-gripping needs and will be running Women's Twilight League again
this year!

MEN'S LEAGUE
PURPOSE OF THE MEN'S LEAGUE
The league was started for the purpose of
promoting friendship and fellowship. There
is no lack of competition for those who are
seeking it along with great sportsmanship.
We are striving to rekindle old friendships
and foster new ones. All players are
encouraged to stay for dinner or
drinks afterward and exchange stories
and enjoy the experience.
TEE TIMES
Men’s League members are required to tee off Wednesday
between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. You can play with your regular
groups! In order for your round to count towards weekly play you
must play with another league member.

LEAGUE FORMAT
The league format will consist of the following:
Teams will consist of six players. Playing in a season long event.
Team Format: Stableford Point System will be used and players
will accumulate points based on their net scores. Each week the
best two scores of the team will count towards the team game. A
season long leaderboard will show results each week.
Payout for team results is at the end of the season.
Individual Format: There will be an individual game as well that
will coincide with the team format. Players will be placed into
flights based on their handicaps and player turnout each week.
WHEN Payout for the individual game will be weekly.
Wednesday, May 27th is opening week.
League play will continue for the next 13
weeks on Wednesday. We will have a
SEASON ENDING Event on August 26th.
