Voice of the people
Tired of litter along highways
It is with tremendous dismay that
as I travel on Highway 82 in and out
of Columbus I see trash everywhere
along the highway. I realize that
during winter there is limited mowing
and mowing over the trash reduces
it in many cases to minute particles
that are difficult for us to see but this
winter it is ridiculous. It is also em-
barrassing when I am driving a friend
who is a visitor to our fair city. What
happened to “Pick it up Mississippi”
and “Keep Mississippi Beautiful”?
Why are people littering our beautiful
state?
