I. Introduction

According to Techopedia, Information and Communication Technology or ICT is the technology where in
telecommunications, broadcast media, transmission systems, and net-work based control and monitoring
functions are handled. It carries diverse data communication types, and formats. It offers a vast area for
development, enhancing the access of information and service. Not only does it recognize Technology but the
aspects of Science and Engineering as well.

Worldwide, ICT is integrated in everyday lives by using computer based communication into classroom
lectures. Many institutions today provide students high quality online courses. Universities in the Philippines like
UP, PUP, and AMA also offer virtual learning.

The Philippines is still at its chuchu. Thus, integrating ICT will help chuchu. The country can take part in the
digital revolution through integrating ICT. This starts in school chuchu. The improvements have been impressive and
the government’s effort of bringing technology in hard to reach areas is recognizable. Students could certainly take
part in changing the world, digitally

Regional Science High School for Region 2 info. In terms of technology, RSHS seems to be chuchu. To know
whether the school is technologically competent, a study will be conducted chuchu.

II. Purpose
The purpose of this study is to address the competency of RSHS in ICT. This will benefit the students
since As a response to the Integration of ICT in Basic Education, this study aims to determine the competency
of RSHS 02 in ICT in terms of ICT skill and knowledge. Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:
1. What are the ways the teachers integrate ICT in teaching the students?
2. How do students use ICT in learning?
3. What are the ways ICT is used at RSHS?
4. What ways can be given to enhance the competency of RSHS?
III. Description
The study will be conducted in the campus of RSHS 02. 10 students from each sections, 3 ICT teachers,
and 10 of the school’s teachers who are willing to help in the making of this study will be interviewed. The
researchers will prepare questionnaires for each respondent and provide a different set of questions for each
group of people. The questionnaires will be about ICT, based from an internet source or added by the
researchers. The data gathering will all be based from the answers of the respondents.
For the data collection tools, the research will make use of recorders, cameras, pen, paper pad, and
words for jotting down answers and responses from the interviewees. With these tools, the research may result
to a well structured and behavioral interview. This will validate and cater experiment of the research. Follow-up
questions may also be used when needed.

In obtaining answers from the data gathered, the researchers will use narrative analysis to analyze
content from interviews and surveys.
IV. Support

The study will be needing support from students and teachers who would like to take part in the success
of the study. The researchers won’t further need any funding other than the cost for printing the questionnaires.
