Zenon Editor to OPEN .PRJ file

Hi Friends,

I have project file for zenon and but dont have anything to open like to edit and open, do
you have anything to help me on this matter, we have some machines from Krones
Germany and all the programms are made with Zenon, in order to troubleshoot I need to
open the project file "which signal triggers which alarm message etc ?"


As what I know, Krones has packed Zenon project with its own format to be able to
recovery the project easier.

So you should find the related program in the project backup.



What you need to fix?

You must be a guarantee for the program, and remote access.

Hello Warri0rs,

I've checked the information of the 7zip unpacker and it doesn't include the files with
extension *.prj as part of the recognized files to unpack, do we need to change the
extension first to unpack the file? if so, to which extension type?

Give me the backup file from Krones HMI, I try cover it to Edit file that can open with zenon
software.

Hello namchin,

PRJ files would be opened normally with Zenon Explorer, a software made by o for Krones
only. However you two options to troubleshot a problem on Krones equipment with iPanel.

The first one is that you can see the adress of each tag directly on the screen. For that look
at the menu an entry that allows you to do right click on the screen. It is like a virtual
mouse that shows on the top left of the screen. Then right click and mantain pressed over
any field and it will show you the address of the tag.

The second one is to open the project with Zenon. I have found a demo version on this site.
Install it and open in demo mode. Change the PRJ extension to ZIP and decompress the
file. There are four more compressed files inside, two with eds extension and two with rtz
extension. Change the edz extension of both files to zip. Then open Zenon editor and
search for the Restore project backup in the File menu (not restore workspace backup).
Execute the action for both files and close the editor. Now you can open the project direct
from the .wsp6 project file.

I don´t know if is the same question... but if I have the folder BINARY -> ZenOn -> and
custom and system
Inside system, there is project.prj, can I recover the source files?

Hello,

The prj projects are from HMI of KRONES machines, If you want to extract them you should
have a special software what only KRONES AG have.
If you would like to modify this kind of files (prj) I can do it, if you are interested you can
send me a private mesage and I can give you a quotation.

I come from Viet Nam. Now I'm working with Pasterizer machine of Krones,
can you help me convert 2 files .prj to files which I can open it.
please give me a advice which version of zenon editor software I can open
it. If you have link to download, can you show for me? I'm an new engineer
automation, please help me about this problem. I hope that you'll reply

Editor: zenOn V7.0
Runtime: zenOn V6.20 SP1

If you edit these two workspace with zenOn 7.0, you're able to compile the file runtime for
6.20 sp4 that can work wothout problems on Krones HMI,

I want to use HMI for troubleshooting, i don't need modify. can i use runtime for this
problem?



install this software.

Hi Mr SHKODRAN,
I'm a newbie working with Krones's machine.
I also have the same problem with some guys before in this topic that i want to open the
.prj file (as i know that is backup file for Krones's HMI).
If you're not hesitate, pls help me to convert the attacted file to .WSP6 ( using with Zenon
v7.1 trial)

Dear Jerry44,

with trial version of zenOn editor, you can't edit this work space, due to Krones, use macro
registered.
Anyway, the second problem, i don't use 7.10, i can restore the project for version 7.60 ,
8.00 or 8.10.

In order to upgrade un B&r HMI Power Panel 300 to PPC2100! I will need to actualize
software from zenon 6.21 to 7.x! Any expert for this kind of convertion job?
