FAQ (SAP)

Q. What is SAP/Extended list?

A. SAP stands for Supplementary Admission Process.

This year IIM Bodh Gaya has decided to extend its shortlist to the candidates with slightly
lower percentile than CAP cut-off (in respective categories) for a separate WAT-PI process.
These candidates will be evaluated and examined on similar grounds as compared to CAP.
Once CAP and SAP are concluded, composite scores for all the candidates will be compared to
come up with our own merit list. Final calls will be sent to these candidates based on admission
criteria of IIM Bodh Gaya.

• Profile: 30% -
➢ Academic Profile (12%)

Q. How is SAP different from CAP?

A. Key points to take note of regarding CAP and SAP-

• They are separate processes since SAP includes the candidates that were shortlisted
exclusively for IIM Bodh Gaya.
• Structure of these processes will be similar as in, WAT followed by PI.
• CAP candidates need to register on CAP portal while SAP candidates need to register
on IIM Bodh Gaya portal with their personal details and extracurricular activities.
• Composite scores after these rounds will be evaluated for the final merit list.
• No preference will be given for CAP candidates over SAP candidates and only
composite score will decide the final merit list.

Q. What are the tentative dates and locations for SAP candidates?

A. Tentative dates for WAT-PI round (SAP) - 3rd Week of February – 3rd Week of March

Tentative locations- New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata.

Q. When and how will IIM Bodh Gaya notify me regarding these dates and locations?

A. By 6th February official mails will be sent out to SAP candidates regarding date, venue, location
and time slot for WAT-PI process.

Q. I am unable to attend the WAT-PI round on/at the date/location allotted to me. Will IIM
Bodh Gaya allow me to change my date/location?

A. Yes, there will be a link in our official email where we will ask you to reconfirm your
date/location choices and if a candidate is unable to make it to the said location on allotted date,
necessary changes can be made. However, the request for change will be entertained only if the
candidate is able to provide a valid proof that backs his/her reason.

Q. Will there be any additional fee for the SAP process?

A. No additional fee will be charged for SAP process. However, candidates are expected to take
care of their commute and lodging expenses by themselves.

Q. Which documents do I need to carry at the time of WAT-PI process?

A. With our official mail we will be providing you with necessary details regarding the list of
documents to be produced for verification purposes.

Q. Why has IIM Bodh Gaya decided to go for SAP starting this year? What are my chances of
conversion against someone who cleared CAP cut-off?

A. To improve overall diversity at IIM Bodh Gaya, the institute has decided to invite candidates
from extended list for WAT-PI round. That being said, this statement should not be taken in a
wrong stride. For instance, CAT only has 40% weightage in our final merit list criteria. So, a person
who scored 94%ile (114 marks) will have 15.2/40 marks and someone who scored 89%ile (96
marks) will have 12.8/40 marks based on their CAT score. So, the difference isn't significant. You
can easily cover it up in the WAT-PI process or even with your diverse profile.
