    Security Risk Assessment

    MAMELODI POWERSTATION 3
    A Security Risk Assessment is conducted to identify what security measures are
    required. A security risk assessment can be defined as a process of evaluating
    security risks of a site. It can be used as a baseline for showing what specific
    change is needed to meet the security requirements.

    BENEFITS OF A SECURITY RISK ASSESSMENT

    • To provide a complete and systematic view to management on existing


    security risk and on the necessary security safeguards.

    • To provide a reasonably objective approach for security expenditure


    budgeting and cost estimation.

    • To enable a strategic approach to security management by providing


    alternative solutions for decision making and consideration.

    • To provide a basis for future comparisons of changes made in security


    measures.

     Evaluate security procedures

     Evaluating other security concerns

     A security plan will be formulated according to the analysis conducted.
