Is the baptism an oath before God unto salvation?

Before you were baptized, weren't you asked carefully whether or not you really want to proceed with
the baptism?

Did you not confess your sins before the baptism?

Did you not promise to live by God's commandments before the baptism?

Did you not understand that the blood of Jesus binds you to the new covenant?
Matthew 26:28, Hebrews 9:19-35, Mark 14:23-25

I ask you what is a covenant and an oath? See definition below...

Covenant: an agreement between God and his people in which God makes certain promises and
requires certain behavior from them in return

Oath: is either a statement of fact or a promise calling upon something or someone that the oath maker
considers sacred, usually God, as a witness to the binding nature of the promise or the truth of the
statement of fact

Now, by definition does not an oath fulfill the covenant? If not, then the covenant is null and void.
(Romans 3:1-11, 29-31)

The oath you are taking is to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God which is based on spiritual laws.
See for Luke 19:11-38 for reference.

Romans 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the
letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Jeremiah 4:4
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and
inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of
the evil of your doings.

Colossians 2:8-12
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after
the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body
of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of
God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Jesus blood: a gift from God for those who obey his commandments.
The gift was given to us from the Father, which is why Jesus came in his Father's name for all who
believed in his Son shall be saved. Jesus came to do and declare the will of Father before all men so
that we may have everlasting life. The Father purchased all who obey him (righteous) to the end
through the blood of Jesus.

"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)
The Kingdom of God is an everlasting Kingdom that only can be inherited through the circumcision of
God's laws in our mind so that at the resurrection we can be born again a heavenly, celestial spiritual
body at the coming of Jesus.

Acts 20:25-29
25And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall
see my face no more.

26Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made
you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Romans 13:5-10
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this
very thing.

7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to
whom fear; honour to whom honour.

8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear
false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended
in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Matthew 22:36-40 )

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8:2

Therefore, through love shall you not break any of God's commandments willingly.
Hebrews 10:16-31
In Acts 2:38 it says "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

After repentance, the baptism is the partaking of an oath to God as Jesus being your Savior. And the
blood of Jesus to seals you to his new covenant. (Hebrews 8:10) Therefore, you are to abide by Gods
laws as it is written 1 John 2:6-8.

In the following scriptures you'll see that through the Holy Spirit, God gives us understanding of his
word to have a change in mind; which comes from our will to obey God's laws. (2 Corinthians 4:4, 2
Corinthians 11:3, Romans 12:1-3, Titus 3:1-8, , Philippians 1:26-28 & 3:15-17, Ephesians 4:23)
God sanctifies us through his word in giving us understanding of salvation which is necessary to enter
into his Kingdom. But it starts with a change in mind (your heart).

Did Christ die for your sins?

Then why do many of us omit 1 John 1:2 which informs us to abide by his commandments...

1 John 2
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an
advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are
in him.
6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the
beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the
darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he
goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
12I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
What did Jesus mean "born of water and the Spirit"? John 3:5
Are you born of the Spirit?

In verse 3, Jesus replied “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born
again.” to be born again is to be born of the Spirit. The water is God's word which sanctifies you by
putting away the old man and becoming a new man in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:15-20) The word is what
washes away our sins through repentance as long as we are faithful in keeping God's laws and the
baptism is the beginning of your walk in Christ being that all your past sins have been removed
(Romans 3:24-26), making us free of sin in our journey towards God's Kingdom (A spiritual Kingdom).

Therefore, man has yet to receive a spirit body bearing the resemblance of a spirit being.

I ask again are you born of the Spirit?

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "John 3:6"
