All patterns were knit on 4mm needles with a handspun yarn

that was between Double Knit and Worsted weight. The

patterns will fit on dolls with and without hair. Gauge is not
essential but each hat is approx 5 inches or 12 cm around at
the brim. Enjoy !!

♥ Grungy Tassel Hat ♥

♥ Using 4mm needles cast on 14 stitches

leaving a long tail for seaming later
♥ Knit every row (garter stitch) back and
forth until rectangle is 4 inches long
♥ End so that the working yarn is on
the same side as the cast on tail
♥ Bind off all 14 stitches – leave a long
tail before cutting yarn – you will need to use this for seaming the
hat.
♥ Using the 2 long tails that should be on opposite sides seam the
hat by folding in half short edge to short edge and sewing the
sides from the fold to the brim.
♥ Add some funky tassels, bobbles or just knot short lengths of yarn
through the corners of the hat to personalise ♥
♥ Pixie Hat ♥

♥ Using 4mm needles cast on 28 stitches and prepare for knitting

in the round
♥ Work 2 x 2 rib for 4 rows ( Knit 2, Purl 2 all around)
♥ Dec to 24 stitches evenly over the round by Knit 5, Knit 2
together, 4 times
♥ Row 6 – Knit 2, Knit 2 together all around (18 stitches)
♥ Rows 7 & 8 – Knit
♥ Row 9 – Knit 1, Knit 2 together
all around (12 stitches)
♥ Rows 10 & 11 – Knit
♥ Row 12 – Knit 2 together all
around (6 stitches)
♥ Rows 13 & 14 – Knit
♥ Cut a long tail and thread through
the 6 stitches on the needles
and pull tight
♥ Weave in ends ♥
 ♥ Slouchy Tam ♥

♥ Using 4mm needles

cast on 24 stitches and
divide onto 3 needles
in mult iples of 4 ready
to work in the round
♥ The first 4 rows are worked in 2 x 2 rib (i.e. knit 2 purl 2 all the
way around)
♥ Row 5 – knit 3, knit front and back, six times (30 stitches)
♥ Row 6 – knit 30 stitches around
♥ Row 7 – knit 3, knit front and back to last 2 stitches, then knit 1,
knit front and back (38 stitches)
♥ Knit 10 rounds even (i.e. knit all 38 stitches)
♥ Knit 2, knit 2 together all around until last 2 stitches, knit 2
(29 stitches)
♥ Knit 2, knit 2 together all around (22 stitches)
♥ Knit even all around
♥ Knit 2 together all around (11 stitches)
♥ Cut yarn, leaving a long tail to thread though the 11 stitches left
on needles. Pull tight and weave in the ends.
♥ Artfully arrange at a jaunty angle!!
