Objectives:
1. To formulate boundary value problems into a finite element method framework
2. To understand the basic theoretical and practical aspects of finite element analysis

Numerical solution to ordinary differential equations
Introduction to finite element method

Introduction to error analysis, check for convergence
Introduction to basic equations in mechanics
Introduction to energy methods in solid mechanics
Introduction to linearized elasticity
