Music Ensemble Analysis

performance for exemplary musical qualities and will be able to defend their assessment. Students will
complete this activity as part of their preparation for adjudication at the AACPS Instrumental Music Festival
and their competition at “Music in the Parks Busch Gardens 2014.”

Directions:
1. Using the provided “Music in the Parks” Rubric, analyze and grade the student performance of the
musical excerpt
2. Write a paragraph defending your position as to whether or not the musical excerpt you heard was an
exemplary musical performing. Be sure to cite specific examples from your completed “Music in the
