(Student team of 3or 4 members to be made, Tutorials and Assignments are to be submitted by each team of students, team work is encouraged) a. Balancing of rotating - Graphical and Analytical b. Balancing of Reciprocating masses - Graphical and Analytical c. Gyroscope & whirling of shaft , Cam dyanmics d. Vibration SDOF – undamped and damped e. Forced Vibration & Vibration instrumentation f. Two DOF Vibration & MDOF Vibration 9. Mini project A group of four or five students will have to carry out a mini project which will have a software component (program writing in Matlab / LabView/HTML5+Java) and / or a Hardware component / experiment. Evaluation – Interim review after midsem, Final review and presentation by the team. Team has to submit a report soft copy in PDF, a soft copy of the presentation in PPT and Matlab or LabVIEW code,HTML5 +Java, Video of experiment / photos of the hardware setup (student are allowed to choose the team members, same team will be doing all group activity) . All approved HTML5 +Java code may find a chance to be hosted on vlab.co.in the virtual lab website of MHRD. ,due credit to the developer will be given on the website. 10. Class & Disciple Assignments are to be submitted by each team (not by individual students) A separate note book for ME 351, class note will be reviewed at regular intervals. Dishonesty / unethical behaviour (eg: malpractice like copying assignment, test , giving proxy etc..) shall attract an negative mark of 10 (each time) to in semester evaluation. This shall be in addition to the penalties awarded by the department / institution

Any malpractice like copying assignment, test etc will attract a negative mark of 10 to in semester evaluation, both owner of the original and the copier will attract the negative mark. This shall be in addition to the penalties awarded by the department / institution In any class, if attendance could not be taken due to lack of time, absence will be marked for those students who were absent in previous class and class followed after that class in which attendance was not taken. When attendance is taken by sheet circulation and sign, if any proxy is detected, the entire class will be given absent. It is each students responsibility to check the neighbor is not marking a proxy attendance. Late comers to class are not permitted to attend class Use of Moodle Virtual Class room is mandatory All notices, assignment, lecture notes etc. will be delivered only through Moodle (learning management System) Virtual class room (https://courses.iris.nitk.ac.in/) , Non availability of connectivity at the Hostel block shall not be treated as a reason for not using Moodle and not doing online submissions. One page data sheet will be permitted for Mid sem and End Sem examination.
