Avaya IX Messaging Release Notes: 10.8 Build 19.1917

List of Avaya IX Messaging Fixes: Details

The following are details of all fixes and changes included in release 10.8 Build 19.1917.

NUMBER DETAILS
10697 The beep tone is just noise when the language pack is installed for Alaw prompts.
All functions, but the Web Admin responds with 503 Service Unavailable. The DefaultAppPool stops, then
10714
restarts, and crashes after a short period.
10686 When the PLDS license is loaded on WebLm with 4 fax ports syncs to IXM, it fails with SIP VTI error.
EEAM logs on remote the CSE server cannot be created because in EEAM.ini, the line is Install Path=\\\UC. It
10408
should be = C:\UC (install drive:\UC)
When using Web Reports with an SSO Login, all login types return "Access Denied". WebAdmin and WebAccess
10401
are working with all SSO login types.
When installing a Primary or Secondary voice server and selecting Avaya Communication Manager 6/AES as
10411
the PBX, the SIP Configuration Manager is empty with no preset values.
SSO Hybrid - Windows Credentials are returning errors for all WebAccess, WebAdmin and Reports login
10610
attempts.
10361 Ports are becoming stuck in Ummonitor and return the message : “ Ring Received 1”.
The password policy specifies that repeating characters is not allowed in passwords. New users cannot be
created if the password contains repeats (e.g. 12233 or 123321), but users that already have repeated
9756
characters can be successfully edited. The password policies should be the same whether you create new user
or edit and existing account.
WebAdmin and Group Mailbox - The user cannot add the first mailbox to the GM Access list via WebAdmin.
9738 When a mailboxes is turned into a GM mailbox via WebAdmin, adding the first mailbox to the access list
returns an error. If you add the first mailbox using IXM Admin, then WebAdmin can continue working.
On a system with a perpetual WebLm license on HA server, the Admin mailbox receives notifications that the
10268
license is about to expire soon (it is set to not expire, i.e. expires in 2399)
9458 Language 7.0 - Splash Page - Almost all of the icons and text are not translated into Chinese.
9457 Language 7.0 - Splash Page - The SRM icon and UMMonitor are not displaying in Korean.
9456 Language 7.0 - Splash Page - The "WebAdmin" icon is not translated in Japanese.
10632 Cancel is not spelled “cancle”.
10265 The Voice server crashes when receiving a call from SRTP.
When ETSIPService.ini does not have any channels defined for a PBX because Port Pooling is used, it sets the
10701
number of RTP ports to 0 instead of the number of channels available for port pooling.
Group Mailbox in HA - The Primary and Secondary servers are allowing users to make changes to the Group
Mailbox access list. It should be greyed out and users should not be able to open the list of mailboxes to add
9734
to the Access list. An error message is returned saying "Unable to add mailbox" but the mailbox is added
regardless.
In Web Reports, when saving a template that has a specific Company and Organizational Uunits, it is saved
9302
with all Companies and all OUs.
When a message (voice or fax) is received from a non-contact or another mailbox, the from field and subject
9758 has a phone number which has quotes around it. This breaks phone number recognition for Click-to-Call. This
is also occurs within Web Client.
When managing users with WebAdmin, the read and unread message columns are not populated unless the
9751
mailbox appears via Search result.
When SSO is configured for Admin, IXM Admin does not honor the “idle time limit for MMC admin and Web

Admin”. Web Admin does honor the idle time limit.
In the STAN 8.0 TUI, the voice prompt says “Press 72 for envelope information.” However, 72 is for reviewing
10543 the message. The CallPilot TUI guide shows that this should be Envelope information as the prompt says.
Checking Sub menu 2, DTMF 2 is assigned to review te message instead of providing envelope details.

Avaya IX Messaging Release Notes: 10.8 Build 19.1917

NUMBER DETAILS
Web Admin does not enforce all of the "PBX Extension Length Fixed" rules configured using the IXM Admin.
10627 For example, if the "PBX Extension Length Fixed" option is checked and the Mailbox Length is set to 5, you are
still able to modify a mailbox address using the Web Admin tool with an address number that is longer than 5.
10629 Web Admin is showing 0 for all mailbox read / unread message counts.
The Canadian French language pack is configured on IXM Admin and set as active. Then changed Chrome's
10626 language to Canadian French, cleared the cache and restarted Chrome. Web Reports, once past the splash
page, is not changed to French, but remains is stll English.
Officelinx should be rebranded as IX Messaging in the Avaya Contact Center Integration Wizard, UMMonitor
10616
and CallPilot Migration Utility tools.
The Voice Menu Summary string is displayed in English when Canadian French is the selected browser
10333
language. All other strings are correctly displayed in French.
Through Web Reports, the data count when an admin user is deleted is applied to the login timed out category
10315 instead of user added/deleted category. Also, the details do not provide the username of user that was
deleted and which admin account did the deletion.
The warnings in the black line are insufficient to draw attention. Warnings in Web Admin should be highlighted
10407
or better emphasized to make them stand out.
In the CMM Customized TUI, in submenu 22 action for key 3 all the parameters for the Envelope action should
10596
be enabled.
IN IXM Admin, a group mailbox can be saved with no Access list.
Create a new group mailbox by toggling the GM option in mailbox properties and add a mailbox to the access
list. Click save.
9744 Disable the group mailbox toggle via Mailbox Options and click save.
Open mailbox and turn the group mailbox toggle on, but do not add any mailboxes to the access list and click
save.
The group mailbox is saved without any users in the Access list. No error is generated.
10415 The WebAdmin page still displays "User saved successfully" although invalid personal operator doesn't save.
9750 The CMM TUI is not included with a new company.
9583 When using SSO with Web Client, the Office 365 option returns an "Access Denied" error.
The Mailbox Operator cannot be reached when “Do Not allow callers to skip the greeting” is enabled and the
10383
caller presses zero.
Run a search on a Group Mailbox that has multiple contacts with the same name (e.g. John Smith and John
Brown). The search results screen shows only the extension for the first contact. All other details, and all
other contact matches, are missing. Select the one that is there and all details are added to the list.

9743 Note: Issue appears when there are multiple hits on the search. When only a single match is found, the full
details are loaded into the entry window (One_Match).

This issue occurs in ALL places where the search mbx function is used. For example: Company settings (Admin
mbx, Fax mbx, etc.), Mailbox Settings (Group Mailbox Access list, etc.).
10267 Spanish language splash page has not been completely translated.
When a mailbox fails to save in Web Admin, the information in the current tab is erased. We should retain the
10552
information even if the save failed.
10397 The Web Client does not display the operator phone number. It is displayed in the Web Admin and IXM Admin.
Web Reports - Mailbox Summary Report increments Number of Logins by 3 instead of 1. The first login
10325
increments by 1, but every login after that is incremented by 3.
In the Windows Option in SSO, there is an option for the user to select “Stay Signed In”. This option should be
10289
configurable so that customers who do not want it can turn it off. The default should be to be ON (displayed).
Running Web Reports running a mailbox filter with a manually selected date range gets reset when a user
filters the report to Mailbox level.
10276 Manually select a date range that is different from the default settings. Use the filter.
Up to the OU filter, the date range is still intact. As soon as the Mailbox filter is selected, the page refreshes
and resets the dates back to default range.
10260 When the admin inputs a user for the Call Mailbox action in a Voice Menu, suggested users are shown twice.

10328 Web Reports - The UMST Log Level cannot be saved when the "All" option is selected.
Create a new user in Web Admin. Go to "Locations" settings, choose a location, then open "Location
9729 Greetings". The "Hang up After Greeting" option is auto-enabled after creating a new account. This should not
be the case. It should be grayed-out and not changeable from Web Admin.
Due to problems with the CallPilot to AAM Extraction utility, the CallPilot Migration Utility should no longer
10380
process Personal Greetings to avoid incorrect personal greetings being migrated.
10378 iLink Pro Desktop cannot login with TLS 1.2 Only enabled when using Single Sign On.
Mailboxes options are set for email notification, and the location timezone for that mailbox is set to Eastern
10366

An Admin user, in either Web Admin or IXM Admin, who is restricted to admin for a specific company should

Delete Companies should only be available to those admin users that are not limited to a specific company.
In Web Reports, the "from" date defaults to "2001" when trying to select a date manually. This is the case for
10275 ALL reports with a date range. It should default to the current date if selected for the first time. It should
default to the last manually selected date if opened again.
IXM Admin should not require Administrators to have a password for users with Domain accounts. If the field
10286
is blank, put a random password into the account field.
Currently only the Administrator account is allowed to create other administrator accounts under User
10284 Manager. However, any account with Full Access should be allowed to create/modify/delete other
administrator accounts.
10303 Web Admin does not display the Operator Phone Number field. This field is displayed in IXM Admin
The number of logins is not incremented in the Voice Mailbox Summary report if the user logs in and is
10314
prompted to go through the tutorial. Since this is a valid login, the count should be incremented.
