Introduction to the Study

This chapter is composed of the following parts; background of the study (2)

Statement of the problem, and (3) Significance of the study.

Part one, Background of the study, presents the Introduction and rationale of the

study. Theoretical Framework presents a theory that explains why problem under study

exist and explains the connection between certain factors and problem.

Part two, Statement of the problem, states the general and specific problems or

questions that the researchers seek to find answers.

Part three, Significance of the study, cites the benefits that may be derived.

Background of the Study

A. Background of the case

New technologies, especially those that utilize the internet, create many new

opportunities for communicating with family and friends.

The Internet also offers many new avenues for social interaction through social

networking sites, online support many new avenues for social networking sites, online

support groups, and chat rooms useful for keeping in touch with family members who

live far away or even for keeping better tabs on those who live nearby.

But can technology replace face-to-face time? Most expert say no.

When it comes to communicating feelings and attitudes, human beings use more

than just words.

These are all important elements of communication.

Therefore, some people argue that, if you do not regularly communicate face-to-

face with family members, you may miss important signs that they are sad, frustrated,

or depressed.

A family is a basic unit of society traditionally consisting of two parents bearing

their children also it is a group of persons united by the ties of marriage, blood, or

adoption, constituting a single household and interacting with each other in their

respective social positions, usually those of spouses, parents, children and siblings.

For the family that lives far away from one another, technology helps them

connect.

Many families live apart and do not see each other on a regular basis.

Even with families live under the same roof, it can be challenging to find time eat

dinner together or sit down to chat.

Today’s technologies make it easy to communicate, some people believe that

they create interruptions to family time and make it easy to avoid face-to-face time.

Communication is extremely important between family members, especially

when someone of them live far away.

For this reason, today’s technological advances are very helpful to families with

busy schedules or widely spread families.

A mother, the one who bring up a child with care and affection, a mother’s role

is to love their children with all their heart and also known the light of the family.

Mothers are trusted by God, because souls are entrusted in their care.

To realize the crucial role of the mothers play in the lives of their children.

She has great influence over them, which is why mothers need to exercise

wisdom and righteousness throughout the days of her life – a task that can be taunting.

But motherhood comes with this great responsibility.

When we are child the mother is the one of our hero, she is the one that reach

out her hand in case when we are afraid and lonely.

All things get better when we seeing a sweet smile of her and without a mother
we are not here in this colorful world that she wants to show since we were child.

According to the parent that we interviewed, she preferred to communicate to

her children face-to-face instead of talking to them through phone or text.

We all know that the use of technology today is very important.

Parents and their children can talk over the phone and tell important matters
such as problems, advices and daily reminders.

Especially to those parents and children who are in a long distance.

A child can talk to her mother telling his/her needs in school or maybe a father
who is working abroad and his son who has a problem.

Though technology and gadgets such as mobile phone plays a vital role in our
daily lives, there are still some parents who prefer that their children would tell them
important matters or problem personally.

Communication is very important in our daily lives.

Knowing that we have the aid of technology, it is very easy for us to

communicate no matter how far from each other.

However, sometimes the use of technology such as mobile phone creates a gap
between parents and children.

It’s true that mobile phones make people connected but if not used carefully, it
can isolate you from family and people around you.

Nowadays, you can see youths seated around with their parents in their homes
but not talking to each other; all are glued to their cellphone or smartphone screens.

Another parent told us that although there’s a mobile phone that would make
easy to communicate to her children, she would still reminds her children to tell things
and important matter to her personally, where she they can express their feelings and
emotions.

Telling it personally would allow her to know how deep is the problem of her
child seeing how her child expresses it.

She added that talking personally would also allow them to spend quality time
together talking over the matter, solving the problem and finding solution.

Moreover, there are still some children who can express their feelings, emotions
and problems personally rather they would talk or tell it to their parents over the phone.

That’s why a parent added it is important to understand their child and to always
remind them that things get better and problems will be solved if you sit around the
table and talk to it together.

Parents also should not just also depend on mobile phones, but find a quality
time and attend to their child’s need.

If the child has something to bring up, parents should find time to listen. This is
how effective communication works, when someone talks another one should listen.

B. Methods of the Case

possibility of the efficiency and effectively of communication.

the parents of our member to determine in which communication will be highly

effective in term of communication and also the method that used through the

communication via chat and face to face interaction with the availability and

accessibility of the respondents.

background communication and their interpersonal communication.

This sample represents the face to face communication versus through

the technology in which defined what method is the best and through this

method can produce on how the communication affected the relationship of both

parties.

Design is one of the method that can defined the questions by the doing

such as interview, point of view, communication skills and status in their family
