To whom it may concern,

I am applying for the volunteer position of zoo guide and zoo aide at the Hogle Zoo of Utah. I
volunteered as a teen docent in the summer of 2018, and have always wanted to come back and
volunteer. I was unable to spend my summer of 2019 volunteering as a teen docent because of
timing problems. Now that I am 18, I decided to apply to the adult programs. The zoo is such a
fun place to work and has an inviting environment that I love being a part of.

As I said before, I volunteered as a teen docent for one summer. I loved learning about
conservation and sharing it with the people around me and I hope that I will get the opportunity
to do so again. I am reliable and will be willing to dedicate much of my time to the zoo, if given
the chance. I learn quickly and will put all of my effort into making the zoo a better place. I have
strong people skills and can easily start up conversations with strangers. I love animals and hope
to make an impact where I can. These are the things that will make me a great asset to the Hogle
Zoo team.
