• Bus Rapid Transit is a new transit system in Bangkok


• Bangkok BRT project belonging to Bangkok Metropolitan Authority
• BKK BRT has its own stations and bus priority lane
• BRT route network planned to feed mass transit systems (Sky train and
Subway)
• Bus controlled by ITS for assuring punctuality and safety

Conclusions
¾ The benefits are depended on
• Transport demand forecasting model (a number of
parameters are needed)
• Monetary values of the benefits (including VOT
VOT,
VOC, accident cost and emission cost)
¾ In Thailand,
Thailand the monetary values are not
standardised, thus the benefits cannot compare
among projects.
