applications of  Why digestion do is important?
concepts and skills
 Why does digestive system must have to function properly?
in daily living
 If your digestive system does not function normally, like you suffered
from diarrhea and you are inside the comfort room and about to release
your waste then suddenly earthquake happens, what will you do?
 To maintain a healthy stomach and the whole digestive system, we
have to drink plenty of water, how many glasses of water that we have
to drink in a day?
Digestion is important because your body needs nutrients from food and
drink to work properly and stay healthy. Your digestive system breaks nutrients
into parts small enough for your body to absorb and use for energy, growth, and
cell repair.

the teeth. Digestion begins in the mouth.
the lesson
2. Salivary glands- produces saliva that moistens the food in the mouth and contains
enzymes.
3. Gall Bladder- bile is stored here until it is needed.
4. Liver- produces bile. Also removes toxins from your blood.
5. Pancreas- produces some of the enzymes which are important for digestion.
6. Small intestine- digested food is absorbed here into the blood stream.
7. Esophagus- a long narrow muscular tube that relaxes and contracts, moving
swallowed food into the stomach.
8. Stomach- a muscular bag secretes gastric juice and mixes food around
9. Large intestine- undigested food goes here. Water and mineral salts from undigested
food are absorbed.
10. Rectum- the last section of the large intestine.
Write the letter that has the correct answer.
