WEBSITE EXPLANATION

Richard Ad Agency

Two agendas to explain:

1. What is the website all about?

2. What are the applied concepts of ICT present in the website

I. THE WEBSITE

Richard Ad Agency, our group, is the “so-called” producer of Jolly dishwashing liquid with the
slogan “A small jolly cash for a big jolly wash” since we want to promote the high quality and
applicability of our product in affordable price— yes, it is for everyone. We chose this kind of household
product because we believe that this is easy to market and very common to all establishments. By the
way, it was inspired by the Proctor and Gamble’s dishwashing liquid product, Joy.

The main point of our vision statement is to provide excellence in both product and services
through assisting customers in cleaning their dishes with significant conclusive results— which is now
our mission. We are also emphasizing the five main values of our agency namely: quality, integrity,
teamwork, respect, and customer commitment.

Now, we want you to meet the people behind the agency. Let’s start with:

1. Charissa Joyce Ibale – CEO and founder;

2. Alex Baconga – Human Resources Manager;
3. Paolo Edrote – Public Relations Officer;
4. Dante Evangelista – Finance Manager;
5. Carlston Fabros – Board of Directors;
6. Jason Kaamiño – Chief Operating Officer; and
7. Ritchel Roslinda – Board of Trustee

Let’s move on to our offered products. We have four different types of Jolly dishwashing liquid
namely: Jolly Refreshing Lemon (Php 59.99), Jolly Sparkling Lime (Php 54.99), Jolly Lavender and Lemon
(Php 61.99), and Jolly Antibac (Php 61.99). We also offer sachet packs.

If you want to know more some cleaning tips, what our customers say about the products,
testimonials, as well as the advertisement sample, you can always visit our website or contact Paolo
Edrote, the agency’s Public Relations Officer.

And lastly, to know the real people behind this website, we will let you go through our
Documentation page. (Ad lib)

II. THE APPLIED ICT CONCEPTS

As what you have observed in our website, the seven principles of graphics and design are
present in our website as well as seven out of eight web design principles.
Principles of Graphics and Design

1. Balance (equal weight placement) – There are the presence of symmetrical and
asymmetrical balance. For example, the “Home” page itself (symmetrical) and the
“Documentation” page (asymmetrical).
2. Movement (flow of elements) – There is a smooth flow of elements in the page as seen
especially in the “About Us” and “Documentation” page.
3. Unity (oneness) – Due to the oneness of elements, the website pages are pleasant to the
eyes. It creates the smoothness of transition between elements.
4. Repetition (consistent and balanced repetition of a design or element) – As you can see
there is a repetition of design and element on each page— the navy-colored slanted shape
with low opacity as well as the lines. Every page is consistent on its design or theme.
5. Proximity (organization and relationship of each elements) – Each element is properly
designated in order to produce an eye-friendly design.
6. Contrast (opposing characteristics) – As you can see we ultimately use yellow and blue.
7. Whitespace (negative space) – Our website is not too overloaded with information allowing
large margins, thus, it seems like elements can breathe within the website.

Web Design Principles

1. Visual Hierarchy (order) – The order of elements is very significant in the “Home” page and
Cleaning Tips part.
2. Proportion (proper division) – The website is not crowded with elements.
3. Hick’s Law (decision-making) – The choices among products.
4. Fitt’s Law (time needed moving to a target) – The products in the Home page is the best
example. “The larger the object, the shorter the distance.”
5. Accessibility – Information can be access easily.
6. Visible Language – The design is friendly, thus, engaging.
7. White Space (divide the website) – It present in all pages especially in Home, About Us, and
Our Products pages.

In terms of content, we included five basic contents: Videos, Animated Images, Infographics,
Posters, and Image manipulation. By the poster or digital poster and infographic are almost the same
the only difference is that the method’s effectiveness for conveying information into a certain audience.

In terms of collaborative tools, as you saw in the documentation, we used Trello, Google Docs,
as well as Facebook Messenger.

Our group also believes that we explored the Wix deeper and used it creatively as you can
evidently see the Rollover image effects, transitions, lightbox, animations like crossfade and fade in,
parallax, slideshows, links and tooltips.
