K.

All complaints of Child Abuse, Discrimination Against Children and Corporal Punishment shall be within
the exclusive jurisdiction of the Department of Education and cannot be brought for amicable settlement
in the Barangay.
I. All information and identifies of all parties shall be confidential.

IV. FACT FINDING & DOCUMENTATION

Section 08. The school head or guidance counselor or any designated school personnel shall:

a. Separately interview in private the bully and the victim;


b. Determine the level of threat and develop intervention strategies. If the level of threat is
high, appropriate action shall be taken by the school within twenty-four (24) hours from the
time of the incident;
c. Inform the victim and the parents or guardian of the steps to be taken to prevent any
further acts of bullying of retaliation; and
d. Make appropriate recommendations to the Child Protection Committee on proper
interventions referrals and monitoring.

V. REFERRALS

Section 09. The school head or the Child Protection Committee may refer the victim and/or the bully to
be trained professionals outside the school such as social workers, psychologist for further assessment
as may be necessary. In like manner that they shall notify the Women and Children’s Protection Desk of
the local Philippine National Police (PNP) if appropriate criminal charges may be pursued against the
bully/offender.

VI. DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

Section 10. The school head, considering the nature of the gravity of bullying or retaliation, giving
emphasis to the attendant circumstances, may impose reasonable disciplinary measures on the bully/
offender that is proportionate to the act committed:

a. Positive and non-violent discipline,


b. Written reprimand;
c. Community service
