Air Conditioning kit for Classic 911 (full kit)

The Electrocooler electric air conditioning installation for Porsche 911 is a complete update to the air
conditioning and ventilation for the Porsche 911 models 1974 to 1989.

The kit is a total redesign of the 911 A/C system, with additional improvements to the fresh air blower
unit and warm air distribution.

It transforms the experience of travelling in an older Porsche 911.

This is a complete AC system redesign for air cooled 911s.

Updating the Alternator

Classic Retrofit recommends our 175A unit, the main advantage being the high idle
output (75A) which will enable the system to run full time in traffic.

Updating the alternator also requires that the wiring can take the extra current. The
wire from the alternator to the starter solenoid must be uprated to 170A 25mm2 wire
along with the alternator ground to the engine case. We provide the cable set with all
our uprated units.

If you have a 964 or 993 based engine you have a 115A alternator but it still requires
you to check the wiring is up to spec. E.g. No good having a 115A alternator with a
1974 wiring harness.

We also offer a 240A Alternator for 964 and 993 engines. This produces over 100A at
idle compared to the 115A which only makes 40A.
This is Classic Retrofit's upgraded high-output
alternator for classic Porsche 964 and 993s.
Tested at over 145A* amps on the standard 964/993
pulley and belt and with a simple installation
process, this UK-manufactured upgrade is the
highest output alternator available for your Porsche
964/993. The idle output is in excess of 100A!

This is a brand new unit, not reconditioned and there

is no core charge or exchange. Based on the large
case Denso 6 phase 'hairpin' alternator, the casing
has been custom designed to fit all 964 and 993 fan
housings. The alternator offers superior efficiency
and produces less heat than the original units.

This is not a 'rewound' Bosch or Valeo unit.

With so many electrical upgrades pushing old-school
charging technology to the limit, Classic Retrofit's
upgraded alternator for classic Porsche 911s is the
perfect addition to a modern-day classic.
Used in conjunction with our electric A/C, this
alternator offers higher levels of cooling without
compromising battery voltage.
Alternators come complete with heavy duty cables.
*The alternator peak output is 240A. Beyond 145A,
a serpentine belt will be required.

With the new ABS M5 kit, Bosch Motorsport adapted an ABS system specifically for
motorsport use, which offers engineers a high level of flexibility during car setup. The
revised ABS control algorithm and completely new hardware ensure improved wheel slip
control and enhance the brake performance. The system is suitable for front-wheel, rear-
wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles. Individual car parameters like e.g. vehicle weight,
vehicle track, wheel weights, wheel circumferences, wheel base or number of
increments can be calibrated with software free of charge.

How many times have you replaced your hood and decklid struts? Us too…
that's why we developed a line of fully mechanical hood and decklid struts.
This is the last decklid strut that you will ever need. Factory decklid struts are
hydraulic filled and will eventually fail, without question. They are sensitive to
weight and to temperature making them unreliable and less than ideal for
aftermarket decklids and tails. If you've ever installed a fiberglass tail, you've
probably also noticed the pressure of the hydraulic shock likes to torque the
decklid, usually creating an uneven body gap on the top left side.
Operation is simple. Just open your decklid all the way up, and it will remain in
place. Push it up one more time and it will release the stop and come back
down.
Rennline‟s fully mechanical hood and decklid struts will not fail for the life of
the product, and therefore carry a lifetime warranty. They utilize a billet design
with complex machining to ensure a smooth and reliable operation. They're
available with either a carbon fiber body or a black aluminum body to suit your
